We enjoyed the cocktail menu on the Soffitel Girls Day Out race day in The Terrace Restaurant. Jacquie the manger and her staff are friendly and attentive. The range and quality of food we enjoyed was great, can't mention all the food we ate but some of the dishes were, duck rice paper rolls, pumpkin risotto balls, salmon crumpets, ravioli, amazing crispy sweet potato waffle chips, the list goes on, we couldn't fault anything. You have a TV on your table and a perfect view of the track at the finsh line from your table. This is a public venue so you don't need a VRC membership, however the membership will get you a $20 discount. We have dined in every venue in members including the Byerley, none of them come even close to the quality of food and excellent service that you will experience in The Terrace. Even the rest rooms are clean and well appointed, all this makes us question our VRC memberships again, you don't get this in the memberstands. We will be back to try the degustation menu. Food selection is so so, pre prepared, years ago it used to be great then they stopped it for some reason. Service like most venues these days you have to look for. I like the venue though, quite relaxed compared to some. Good parking in nice surroundings but can be a bit of a pain to get in if there's an event close buy - makes no sense why they close the main gate, have a guard? sitting there who can open the gate but doesn't - although sometimes they do. Very frustrating and rediculous...

Wow what an absolute pleasure it was to spend the day at The Terrace restaurant The food was fabulous The staff were very friendly and on top of everything The venue was super impressive 2 screens on our table and the perfect view of the entire track the cherry on top was its right opposite of the finishing post !!
