The racecourse itself is simply breathtaking, with a sprawling layout that is as impressive as it is functional. From the moment you arrive, you'll be struck by the incredible energy and excitement that permeates the entire facility.
Whether you're an avid horse racing enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a day out with friends and family, Flemington Racecourse has something to offer. The racing events held here are some of the most prestigious in the world, drawing visitors from all over the globe to witness the thrill of the races.
But even if you're not interested in horse racing, there are still plenty of reasons to visit Flemington Racecourse. The beautiful grounds are perfect for a leisurely stroll or picnic, and the many restaurants, bars, and cafes offer a wide range of dining options.
And if you're looking for a truly unforgettable experience, be sure to visit during the Melbourne Cup Carnival, which is one of the most iconic events in the Australian social calendar.

Read moreI was invited to Oaks Day by a friend who works for Mercedes Benz. After one summer residing in Qld, he determined the humidity was not his style. Although,I thrive in the sweltering heat.
I loved the Drastic temperature changes here. Upon my arrival in Melbourne, it was a sweltering 38 degrees. Within 36 hours, the temperature plummeted to 12 degrees. This was quite a ghastly, frigid start to Summer. Arguably Climate Change has wreaked havoc on the world for years.
Hence, I was grossly unprepared for attending Melbourne Cup in such arctic-like conditions. I fallaciously presumed I would flaunt my sleeveless, frock. Yet, I didn't want to comprise the integrity of my designer dress I from David Jones. So, I endured the frigid environment in elegance.
The race track was stunning. I particularly adored the gates and entrances encased in dozens of multi-colored roses.
My friend and I both don't drink much alcohol. So we kept it Classy.
We departed this venue without the hassles of rideshares, because they were NON-EXISTENT in 2012. Although Melbourne has the Best public transport system in Australia.
We never Bet any money, so we never lost anything, unlike the disenfranchised ADDICTS in America.
I certainly would return to Flemmington Racecourse again. It makes Eagle Farm and Doomben look like...
Read moreWe usually come to the show every year! This year however has been the worst I’ve ever experienced. We arrived and presented our handicap permit, only to be told that the front odd 10-15 rows were reserved for people who paid for them. Shouldn’t you place your disabled patrons before the spots you sell?? Once inside we were told that when we brought our tickets that we could then go in and purchase our ride pass. This information was completely wrong. This may have been the system in past years but this year you aren’t able to purchase a ride pass without also purchasing your admission online also. We kindly asked for a refund so that we could then buy our tickets online with our ride pass. We were told no and the best they could do was for us to purchase and additional ticket online along with a ride pass. If we had not already spent $100 just getting in, why would we then pay for an additional ticket? As above, if it weren’t for the money we would have already left, and most certainly won’t be returning in the further. My advice is to go to Luna park for a much more enjoyable and cheaper experience, or Moomba. Both options are better...
