We were regulars from the first shop opened and my son loves their Angel hair pasta and so we would go just for that. The first shop in Jackson’s crt service was so much better. Second shop we went to today on Mitchell St. at 12.30pm on Saturday it is expected to be busy of course, but we were turned away with the lady saying “we are full and cannot take anymore” that’s fine.. but when we asked is any there any table that could be finishing soon her response was no “everyone just started”. She then went on to say “there’s another cafe down the road called “Bobs ur uncle” for a moment I thought they took over that cafe since they’re sending business elsewhere. Feel sorry for the owner that her staff is sending business elsewhere. So we decided to get take away and what do you know someone leaves after we ordered our food, so we had changed to table service instead. But since we changed to table they had forgotten about our drink we ordered and paid for. When I remembered before leaving I approached them about it. Their response next time you should remind us and not leave it so long 😤 so it was my fault I forgot that I paid for a drink and they didn’t bring it out. This was just one of the three or four times we went there that the same ladies saying either it’s full or kitchen is too busy cannot take anymore orders including take away mind you this was 1.30pm. Another time my son got so upset because they didn’t want to take anymore orders again 1pm. I don’t think they like catering for kids either. One time I asked for extra pasta they said no management doesn’t allow that even if I want to pay extra money. They used to do it at the old one all the time, I only do that because my sons loves that pasta. After all this we will never come back again I have given it so many chances only because my 7 year old wants to go. Well that waiter is not wrong there is other cafes around that we can go. So think twice about this place if you have kids, because when they turn you away your kids can get upset and hungry. Inked cup cafe down the road is a much better option with more friendly and smiling staff. Oh they make better coffee too. So if you’re deciding where to go I suggest don’t bother wasting your time here. The staff are not...

PREVIOUS 9/10 ... this NKOTB is presenting quality modern Thai food.
Jackson Court was dying a few years ago, now, it's a different story ... it could be the next rival to Kingsway, Glen Waverley ... on weekends, Friday and Saturday night parking spot is as rare as the Greens seat in the Parliament lower house Canberra, but seriously with the many new restaurants, apartment blocks, Dan Murphy's and Aldi, the parking situation is really out of control. Manningham council???
There are cafes, Charcoal Chicken, Greek, Italian, Korean, Malaysian, Japanese, Thai and Chinese restaurants already established here, so you have to be smart and brave to set up another Thai (modern) restaurant at Jackson Court. Kudos to the owners (same owners as the Three Monkeys, old Barrington's florist) Jade Fox showcased their version of modern Thai food. Still sticking to its Thai origin and authenticity, under the watchful eye of their imported Chef from Thailand, they are able to showcase another shade of this rich cuisine that we all grown to love, all over the world.
We started the evening with some Betel leaf prawns with cooked Coconut shreds and some fruity "twist", then Papaya Salad, next to the not too sweet, just right Duck Red Curry and caramelized sweet soy Pork Belly, accompanied by some Roti, Coconut and steamed jasmine rice. We closed the evening with some desserts; Egg Custard Brulee, their version of "mashed" Thai banana fritters. They are all very well presented, right portion and delish ... the highlight for me was the Red Duck curry, more green peppercorn, please.
That was a short, great introduction of their modern Thai medley, there are more to explore from this NKOTB modern Thai restaurant. Kudos to the smart operator who seized the opportunity in setting up and presenting their expertise at Jackson Court, the next Kingsway of Glen Waverley.
Thank you Bertram & Farrah for showing and hosting us....
Read moreHorrible place, terrible coffee… the manager had no experience in talking to customers! She kept arguing and decided to swear at me infront of everyone after I told her your coffee taste horrible and we don’t want any! Definitely won’t recommend this place. Terrible staff and management. Don’t waste your time or money on this terrific place.
Owner/manager have no respect for customers, no experience in barista. 10years with no experience on how to treat customers when she cannot provide good food and drinks. Instead of getting trained she accuse me and my family and yell at me in-front of other people…! Owner have also lied in response, but seems like she only learnt to lie to herself and people. Owner also tried to push us to pay for coffee that we didn’t like and didn’t drink. Owner accused us on drinking it and I opened the drink and showed her that I only had one sip and it was a terrible coffee. The coffee tasted more like water than anything. She then said it was my fault because I ordered weak cappuccino! My partner had full strength cappuccino and it tasted exact same thing! Staff brought wrong drink on our table and just grabbed and took it away without any apology. I asked to cancel our order and told her we did not drink the coffee! She kept on pushing and yelling at me to pay! What a management? Disaster! If can’t run a business, better shut it down 👋🏼 Very unprofessional behaviour. A horrible...
