Disappointed, angry and felt insulted when we went for dinner. Felt like zero95 was doing us a favour by letting us have their food. I normally do not leave negative reviews unless I can’t help it. The first thing we were told when we entered the restaurant was that we have to leave within 1.5 hours. No other restaurant has this short maximum stay, at least when there are no COVID restrictions in place (NO staff wearing masks) Well, we thought that was not a big deal and got a table.
Ordered a few pizzas to share. The waitress asked if we need plates and how many do we need. Well of course we need plates when you are sharing pizzas- how else will you eat? When the plates came, it was for only half of the table. I had to ask again for another set of plates for other people in the table. I suppose people who work in hospitality industry would have the common sense to setup plates for everyone in the table. Pizzas were okay, as you would expect from a wood fired pizza place. Then came the pastas- linguine and gnocchi, which were both very underwhelming.
Still 35 min left for our booking, we ordered desserts, were reminded of the time limit AGAIN . Second time, no plates for dessert. Asked for plates and the waitress DROPPED a stack of plates on the table and seemed annoyed by our request. We got our Tiramisus which were dry and not freshly made. Then the bill came. 15 minutes to our deadline to leave the restaurant. The waiter told us that we have got FIVE min to vacate the table??? I mentioned that we have got 15 min left, the waiter snapped back and said “well you have got 10”. Terribly rude and insulting behaviour. There are other polite ways to convey this message without being rude. Felt so insulted after this that we left immediately. The bill was $373 for rude behaviour and underwhelming food. Never going near this...
Read moreSo my partner and I ordered a vegetarian pizza from this place. Pizza price was around the $35 mark. At any event, if you're paying this price for a Pizza you'd expect it to be well made. We picked up the pizza, opened it in the car to find that pizza edges were very doughy and uncooked. So I go back to the manager and ask if they can fix the issue. He takes the pizza back while I see the owner in the back getting agitated by the fact that I'm returning the pizza. I wait for the remake pizza for about 10 mins then took it and went to the car to open it to find that the pizza chef has decided to burn my pizza as shown in the photos. I call the restaurant up and ask the manager why is my pizza burnt? He goes I don't know but the owner himself is making the pizzas tonight. Then I was like so what because he's the owner he can burn our pizza? The Manager goes ill follow up with him. He took my number and asked me to send him a photo of the pizza. I did send the photo and the manager never got in touch with me after that. It's just really unacceptable that you pay this amount of money for a vegetarian pizza and you can't even get it right. Like there's a middle ground between an uncooked pizza and a burnt pizza but they don't seem to get it there. I understand that in this type of industry and especially when it comes to chefs, they don't like their produce to be returned. But that wouldn't have been the case if they got it right in the first place. At the same time it's completely unfair to ruin someone else's dinner for that reason Worst pizza I had in my life for sure, I hope they improve their services in the future and learn how to not let their ego take over whatever they...
Read moreMy friend and I had dinner here the other night, and while the food was enjoyable, the overall experience was average. From the moment we arrived, the vibes were a bit off. As we approached the entrance, a staff member at the front bar noticed us, smiled, then strangely walked off to clear tables, leaving us standing awkwardly at the door waiting until he came back to greet us.
We started with the Bruschetta (paid extra for stracciatella) from the Small Bites to Share menu. What came out was a single piece of bread topped with a handful of diced tomato, rocket, and a teaspoon of stracciatella. Not only was this very difficult to “share,” but paying extra for cheese felt pointless given how little there was. Mind you, one of the waiters tried to clear the plate while there was still half the tomato and rocket on the plate. Very frustrating.
Mains were a lot better — we both had pasta and enjoyed them. We added mozzarella to the gnocchi which was delicious, but again a small portion. We had to ask for parmesan (not a big deal), but again, the waiter seemed eager to take it away before we were finished. Felt like there was a theme of trying to hold back on the cheeses lol.
Drink-wise, my friend ordered a lovely cocktail and I requested a mocktail since I wasn’t drinking. They were happy to accommodate, which I appreciated — but then charged me $20, the same price as the alcoholic version. A bit steep for something without booze.
All in all, the food was good, but the service was lacking and didn’t make us feel particularly welcome or looked after. We had a nice enough time, but probably...
