This is the second time we have dined here and first time we spent just under $2K on food and drinks alone, plus booked 6 rooms (Hence why we came back as the food and rooms were pretty good) The service the first time was pleasant but clumsy with mixing up meals, dropping plates and getting us to pick up and pass plates to the respective waiters (With the prices charged for the meals I’d expect the service to be of the same standard). Tonight the service was non existent, again the consistency of dropping cutlery was maintained, also now with only 2 dinners the meals were mixed up again, but when I requested chilli flakes or oil and was assured it would be bought out….low and behold it was forgotten though I had no chance to say anything (I also wanted another drink) as it was a dump and run with the meals. We never saw any service for the remainder of our meal, though the customers next to us were attended by 3 different waiters in a space of 5 minutes.
The food was ok, we enjoyed the entree, but my risotto needed a little salt, but as fancy as this restaurant is they still use $2 salt grinders which proceeded to dump a whole heap of salt rocks over my meal and with no service at all I couldn’t point this out. (I don’t like making a scene in public so I ate what I could) When pointing this out when we were paying as we decided not to continue with dessert, the waiter seemed totally indifferent which I could only assume that our feedback would more than likely not be passed on. So here I am after retiring to our room extremely disappointed after that experience, writing...
Read moreRed wine was spilt all over me by a waitress. It was not her fault I understand accidents happen and told her it was okay. However, it was spilt on my jeans, top and cardigan from Spain. I changed into a top given by another waitress who told me to use soda water to remove the stain from my cardigan. After this I sat and enjoyed the meal. Food was lovely. When we went to pay only my two drinks were covered and no compensation for the dry cleaning I’d need or anything. It felt like a rush to get us out. I took the cardigan to the dry cleaners and they removed majority of the stain however it left at ring where it was stained and the texture was ruined. This was handmade in Spain. I then called the restaurant to have the manager tell me that he can’t do anything because his boss is away and will call me back in a week. Two weeks go by and at this point I am more upset with the disrespect and unprofessionalism of this place. I then call again for another manager to answer the phone who was a tad more responsive than the last he then called me back the next day and started saying I have the property of the spare shirt of the employee who told me to keep it and that it’s my fault I used the soda water in the restaurant to try and remove the stain. UNBELIEVABLE. His concern was not me or having red wine spilt all over me head to toe however the cheap Kmart shirt. Least to say I am appalled with how I was treated. This could have been resolved so quickly with the one...
Read moreThe most inhospitable, unwelcoming and uncomfortable service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. The list of grievances is long so I'm just going to say, 'Corey, you may just single-handedly destroy the potential this restaurant has. The food was enjoyable and the atmosphere would have been quite nice with the music you shut off early and the fire/heater going, but you really need to upskill in hospitality if you want to keep your job. You leave an astonishing amount to be desired. Here's the list as succinctly as possible: Took a booking from me for 7pm when all the staff wanted to be home by 8. Asked if we wanted dessert and when we said 'no thank you', turned off the music and got on the phone to (the boss?) audibly complaining that we hadn't yet left at 7:50. Blamed a named colleague (Jaz, I'm sure you deserve better) for having taken our booking when she shouldn't have. Pestered us repeatedly to move our night along at our table like it was a take out restaurant. Told us that the boss won't allow the fire to be lit with less than 15 people in the restaurant. Told us that us sticking around for our booked table causes the business to haemorrhage. Did not pay attention to the ordered food and brought the wrong dish. And it goes on....*snore. Just as well my friend had heated car seats and we could continue our rare catch up in the carpark under the neon lights celebrating what a great place...
