Pop A Pie — Restaurant in Melbourne

The food and coffee are great however I found my experience with the customer service somewhat questionable. I went in 3 days in a row. I got overcharged for my Pie and coffee combo one morning but I didn't bring it up as I had already paid for it when I noticed. The next day I went in and made the same order and I politely let the lady at the counter know that I got overcharged last time but it's not a big issue. I just thought I would let her know. She then proceeded to tell me " well there's nothing I can do about it. It might have been the way you ordered your food that led to them forgetting to put through the combo price of my coffee and pie". Even though I ordered the exact same way I had the previous 2 days I went in and didn't get over charged.

I never asked her for my money back or any other sort of compensation that's not what it was about. But a simple " sorry about that, I'll keep an eye on that next time!" Would have sufficed. As opposed to condescendingly telling the customer that there's nothing you can do about it and then blaming them for a mistake made on the...

This pie shop is truly something special. I’ve been coming here since it first opened, and I can confidently say their pies are some of the best I’ve ever had. Every bite is packed with flavour, and you can really tell they’re made with care and quality ingredients. Whether it’s savoury or sweet, each pie is consistently delicious, comforting, and satisfying.

One small suggestion: a touch more liveliness in the space, maybe a bit of music or some warm colours, could really elevate the whole experience. But honestly, the pies are so good, it hardly matters.

Thank you to the team for all the amazing food over the years. If you’re a pie lover, this place is a dream come true....

I don’t know how to properly articulate just how good their pies are. Out of body experience maybe… Absolutely mind blowing. Soft buttery pastry with fresh, perfectly cooked ingredients. Every pie is the perfect temperature to hook into as well. I just. Wow. I can’t even. Better than the birth of your first child. Oh and don’t get me started on the donuts. Light, fluffy and just ridiculously delicious. Better than the birth of your second child.

Disclaimer: I don’t have children, but if I did, I’d swap them for a pepper steak...
