Two Birds Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Came here for breakfast on the weekend and it was absolutely amazing! Went on a Sunday and it was pretty busy but still tables available. We’re greeted and sat straight away with table water and menus. Atmosphere was amazing and staff were very friendly. I do recommend picking your table wisely if they have a few available as it can get very sunny in there. Coffee and banana bread was amazing. Also ordered the eggs Benedict and the garden French toast. Eggs and Benedict was amazing and cooked beautifully. Garden friend toast was good and have never had it cooked that way before. Was very filling and very sweet would of been nice to have another light non sweet element other than the mascarpone to break up the maple syrup, fruit, French toast etc. The food presentation was absolutely amazing and was the same for all the tables around us. In this cafe,I have waited for long time,and I still don't get my food yet,outside of the cafe,the other people have came later than me,but they get their food first,so I think it is not fair and they have been slow,when we finally asked for when is the food coming,they say is going to be 1minute,and said sorry to me,but I think is still late and is not too fair that the other people can get the food first when we order and come in first,and they just give me a coffee, but when I finish the coffee,the food isn't even coming here yet,and the other table have already finish their food,and I have order ham and cheese toast, but inside of the toast just have tomato,cheese, bread,but where is my ham!Is gone and now I still need to wait for my toast again, and it is rude and unfair that I give them a very long time to make it,but they still can't give me a normal toast.I have waited for like half an hour,and finally o get my ham and cheese, it is yummy but the bread is too...

Great brunch and open over the Christmas/ new years period when few cafes are. Beautiful decor and plenty of near by parking. Coffee was nice, probably a bit on the darker side of the roast. Didnt catch a glimpse of the beans being used. They used Bonsoy soy and almond milk... I prefer MilkLab, so that impacted the flavour of the coffee a bit. The Kefir Lime Crumbed eggs were nice and cooked beautifully. Good flavor at every bite and the right amount of acid. Good portion too... not too small not too big. The Fish Burrito was also very fresh and didnt feel too heavy. Could have used a little extra sauce to kick the heat up a level. Parts of the burrito just didnt have any and tasted a bit bland. Chips were cooked perfect and seemed to have a light extra batter, on the lighter side of seasoning if you like your chicken salt.
