After several stays over the past decade todays visit was disappointing. Air conditioner in the bedroom inoperable because of faulty remote. Cannot get it off “cool”. Mt wife had surgery at St Vincent’s so they wanted her close in case of complications. She is very cold and we cannot get the aircon to heat the bedroom. And she went to have a shower to warm up and cannot have one because of the overgrown mould in there. How can someone weakened by surgery be expected to shower in a space full of mould spores. I went to pour myself a drink and the glass was full of fingerprints! Disgustingly dirty. Look at the photos! I expect such things from a hostel in StKilda, not a hotel in Fitzroy. It is interesting to read some earlier reviews over the past 12 months also pointing out the disgusting state of the bathrooms and the promise to “pass this on to the cleaning staff”. Clearly it hasn’t been passed on or the cleaning staff aren’t listening! One more beef. Please don’t advertise “Foxtel” when it is just 6 channels, 3 of them being sports channels (none of them the AFL game on a Friday night in Melbourne) and one being foxnews and out of two entertainment channels only one functioning. It really is deceptive advertising.

My daughter and I stayed there for a week. Upon arrival the Loby was clean and the gentleman that greeted us was so lovely. We went to our room it appeared clean until we went into the bathroom rooms. We were appalled the showers were putrid. I was so disgusted and disappointed with the money we were paying to stay there. We went straight back to the front desk and explained so he then said have a look at another room. We go look and the showers were just as bad. To then we realise when I go get the booking papers that the room we booked wasn’t the room we thought we were getting. Once I showed them the papers we had h said we could go to that room from the next night which we did. I got the room for half the cost which wasnt what I asked for, which didn’t realise that until we left. My daughter and I ended going to get bleach and thongs b cause the room is hat we did end up getting the bathroom was not overly clean either. I had the cleaners clean again. I ended up still cleaning it myself and wore thongs every shower. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH MY STAY AND WOULD NOT CONSIDER STAYING THERE AGAIN.

We recently stayed in room 220. It was poorly maintained and cleaned. In the bathroom the shower recess was grimy and mouldy, the washing machine leaked across the bathroom doorway and was a slip hazard, the ceiling around the light fitting was cracked and the exhaust fan did not work ( in a windowless bathroom). In the kitchen the vegetable compartment in the fridge still had old bits of vegetables from the last occupant, the dish washer had not worked for so long that it was labelled as such and the crockery was so mismatched and old it felt like they had been sourced from a charity shop. The TV remote was unreliable. The gym is still closed due to covid. When I let the staff know they said they would notify the owners the next day which was our checkout day. The room was not of a standard where it should have been let out. There were other issues. I had booked many months before so it is not a matter of notice.

Possibly the worst experience I’ve had with a hotel before. Arrived at 5:55 to check in which the lobby was closed but 24/hour checkin was available but wasn’t working for me, I then proceeded to call the help line as instructed on the kiosk but they were unable to help (they were trying to contact someone) told me to wait and call back in 10 minutes if no one reached out to me. I called back at 6:19 stating I was still waiting for someone to help and they then put me on hold for 10 minutes and then told me they can’t do anything from there end and just have to wait, I then waited until 7:01 (at what time I was meant to go out for dinner) and called back again which was another 10 minute hold and finally got ahold of someone to come down and help. Finally after an hour and half of waiting for someone to help I was able to get an answer of why I couldn’t check in - 2 people booked at the same time however I was still sent a booking confirmation for the suite… after another 30 minutes of phone calls they decided that the only thing they could do for me was to send me to another one of their hotels which was in much worse condition with no parking for my car so I had to leave my car at the hotel where they didn’t have a room. I finally arrived at 20:15 at the other hotel after ubering (at my cost) nearly 2 hours and 20 minutes after first arriving in which was disgusted at the state of the room. It smelt like a combination of sewage & mold…. There was no towels or and one pillow on the bed, definitely not like anything they advertised online.

Overall - very poor, only good thing was the man who came down to help but still extremely...

Had this venue suggested by the hospital if I needed to come in early for my surgery at St Vincent's.

Location was perfect, only 5mins drive to the hospital. I'd stayed here before about 5 yrs ago and was aware of the layout of the place. Still I was disappointed when the instructions about which elevator would take us to the room was not shared with the support worker on arrival. This caused a small issue with going up elevator to the wrong section of the building.

Still, the location was good.

Ordered food locally for dinner after getting settled in, definately Spoiled for choice! Location, location, location.

This morning had a snafu trying to use the oven to warm the breakfast rolls that had been frozen (better taste). Called reception to find out the oven was under repair, something else that wasn't mentioned on arrival.

Over all, the place had had some upgrades since the last time I was there, the curtains were not one of them. A few were hanging askew with clips missing.

The bathrooms looked like they needed a deep clean in the shower and the toilets were super low!

Now I did tell them I had accessibly issues, but I had a support worker with me. Most of the place was accessible with my canes but certainly not wheelchair friendly and the bathrooms are certainly not decked out for that. To be fair this was not an assigned accessibility room as the one they had was unavailable. (3 floors, and approx 24 rooms per floor AND ONLY ONE accessible room!?) But I'd like to see this place, which is under new management, be more proactive with their disability accessible rooms as theani areas are...

GREAT LOCATION, SECURE PARKING AND EXCELLENT VALUE

I stayed here last year when I was having a night out as we were all going out in Brunswick Street, and was told about this hotel/apartments.

Situated on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, in a great location close to trams, cafes, bars and restaurants, everything within walking distance for that inner-city staycation experience.

When I arrived, I was greeted at reception to a friendly and lovely welcome, I stayed in a 1 Bedroom Spa Apartment and the furnishings were neat and clean.

The courtyard and pool reminded me of a boutique hotel in Santa Monica I once stayed in and had that lovely summer feel.

The apartment was spacious and clean and the beds were comfy and the kitchen was great for those guests who want to stay for longer than a few days to cook for that added convienence.

This hotel is very well priced ( rooms starting from $120 per night) is safe, clean and has secured underground parking, and is suitable for solo travelers, families, couples and friends,

Would defintley recommend to anyone looking for a hotel 5 mins out of the city, who are looking for a great location where you can stroll along and try out some of the best bars, restaurants and stores that Fitzroy...
