Up The Road Burgers — Restaurant in Melbourne

The one star is because the place is clean and the people friendly. We love our burgers and travel for a good one. Unfortunately the food is nothing like what is shown in the pictures. The Instagram pictures show what appears to be good hand made coarse ground mince burgers, but what we were served was not as expected. We chose to go because of the Instagram pictures which clearly show bacon in the burgers, however what they serve is what they said was "turkey bacon" - I can only guess they do this because their religion doesn't allow them to handle real bacon. I suggested it is misleading to advertise to cusomers that they serve bacon, but then give customers what looks like a manufactured turkey ham ... IT IS NOT BACON ... even to tell me that it's "turkey bacon" is trying to cover up the lie. They just need to be honest and only show images of their own products. The Instagram images they use to lure customers, like they did to us, are not their products ... dishonest. They gave me my money back for the bacon, but I should have a complete refund since I only went because of the misleading product photos. Waste of time and money....

One of my favourite burger joints! These guys know how to make a good burger! Ordered today and wanted to give some feedback.

I ordered two usuals and one large super fries. I was initially only given one tomato sauce packet which is definitely not enough for what I am ordering so i requested for more and a bbq sauce.

Was a bit disappointed that they wanted to charge me $2.50 for a small amount of bbq sauce so I told them not to worry about it.

At least they gave me another tomato sauce packet for free. Would have liked more than 2 tomato sauces as it was definitely still not enough but I was a bit hesitant to ask for another two given I had just made the guy who was serving me dispense bbq sauce into a container and then refused to buy the sauce.

Anyway the short of it is, I hope the owner reads this and gives instructions to staff to be more generous with the tomato sauces and possibly not charge for other condiments!

Still love the burgers and want to support them! So still...

Delicious Halal gourmet burgers! . We had the chicken caliente, beef carnivore, chicken grill plate and fries. Everything tasted amazing and burgers were huge, all at great prices.

Update from December 2023: still one of the best burgers I have ever had! My son and I Had the Carnivore and the Hybrid. Still the same amazing taste. Beef patties were so succulent and cooked to perfection. My son loved the chicken and beef combination in The Hybrid. We also tried the loaded veggie fries and they were also delicious, specially the white sauce on the fries. The cheese in the burgers and the fries tasted specially good.

On a side note, prices have increased but that's the same as everywhere else. Plus the credit card surcharge that a lot of places are now charging.

Will definitely be visiting regularly whenever we're in the mood for gourmet burgers....
