Village Kebab & Gozleme — Restaurant in Melbourne

This experience could have been so much better... village kebab and gozleme. As I arrived the store was empty and the guy was smoking at the front dining table. Which I excused and sat with him while he finished because I wanted good food... It was approximately 7:30pm and they closed at 8pm. Yes, 8pm. I ordered a large HSP. Chicken with cheese and with garlic, BBQ, and chilli sauces. Plus a can of coke. $29.50. Little pricey, but ill see how good it is.. It had been a very hot day. the shop was a comfortable temperature, and very well presented. Order was done within 3 minutes. Not even enough time to cook chips. Very suspicious. I took my order and went home to eat it.

The chips were old chips that had been redipped in the oil and tried to pass off as new... all hidden under a heap of cat food sized chicken pieces from the bottom of the meat container. I really wasn't impressed. I will say fair size for the money and the chicken flavour was not bad, chips were terrible, tiny bit more sauce would have been nice, and the size of the meat pieces needs to be re assessed. Along with this the flimsy polystyrene container.. especially when used upside-down. The chicken grease found its way out very easily... I will return unexpectedly in future for a second opportunity at greatness. Til next time, im far from impressed...

Rare to find establishments that love what they do and respect who they serve. Fresh and flavourful dinner with staff that will put a smile on your face before you even take your first bite. Even if they fail to put you in a good mood, their food definitely will! I had lunch here yesterday, "satisfied" doesn't even begin to describe it. Breakfast, lunch or dinner with options of milkshakes, soft drinks, tea, coffee and even dessert. I'm more of an introvert but I will gladly sacrifice my pyjamas and blankie for you guys!...

Such a good HSP, friendly owners, good servings, great price, well air conditioned and clean invierment which you don't usually get a a kebab shop.

Lately I haven't been having any good kebabs / HSP anywhere, and thought maybe it's just me maybe I've grown out of them. But NO!! It's definitely not me this place reminded me of what a good kebab should feel like. I couldn't stop snacking on my HSP the whole drive me mmm 😋 so good.
