Wantirna South Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have been going there for years. I’d usually go 2/3 times a week and purchase 3 dim sims. Will say they are very good. Couple times a month I’d get 1/4 chicken with chips. This last time I bought 2 pieces fried chicken and chips. The chicken was so dry I had to throw out. Yuck. I mentioned to them their reply “sometimes they sit for to long in here” no sorry no nothing. Then I bought and paid for 3 dim sims drove home and only got 2. I drove back and told them. The guy behind the counter didn’t believe me. He spoke to his partner in their language and started laughing. He apologised laughing at me and gave me my dim dim only. Still laughing. I told him I drove home and back. To be honest I did expect a complementary dim sum for my troubles no didn’t come. I felt humiliated who knows what they were saying about me. So now I have,my family have my co worker has boycotted the place. Terrible terrible customer service. For a dim sum now they lose money. Not writing this to stop people going. Went to Wantirna South Charcoal Chicken for a late lunch. The location is down a service road with plenty of parking on most days, easy to find. Atmosphere is fine, nothing special.

We ordered a few large chickens and large fries. Chicken was dry, even the leg parts were dryer than they should be, I've had juicier better cooked chicken from Woolies which is disappointing. The stuffing was not nice and smelled bad, wasn't asked for stuffing which would've been nice so we can avoid it. Inedible. Wings were bland and had no flavour despite looking like they do. Having recently moved into the area I have begun exploring my local eateries and can honestly say this is by far one of my favourite go-to's. Not only were staff friendly and attentive but also extraordinarily accommodating. After a miserable day, I requested a special order of a parma burger and must say was NOT disappointed. As I was eating in store the male worker that served me came around the counter and generously offered me chips. Extremely courteous and appreciated!
