4 of us had dinner at the club last night. All senior meals . My steak was lovely. My partner had bangers and mash which he enjoyed and all was plentiful, however, our friends had the fish. 2 little pieces not much bigger than the biggest chip on their plates. After speaking witb staff, the chef sent out a little bit more which was very nice of him to do but this exfra fish wasnt the same and actually had an off smell to it and also mentioned wax the fact that grilled fish shrinks on cooking. Prompt and friendly service with meals delivered in a timely fashion. Two on our table enjoyed the roast of the day which was a very generous serve and they said the meat was nice and tender. My serve of salmon was a bit small for the price and ever so slightly overcooked for my taste. The meat of my partner's twice cooked belly pork was melt in the mouth tender and crackling nice and crispy but it was way too salty and she had trouble finishing. There is a nice little seating area which is basically an extension of the bistro where you can sit and enjoy a drink or coffee. Pleasant venue overall. 3.5 star rating really for meal missteps but rounded up for service...

We ordered take away Friday night and the meals were 11/10!! My partner and I got a Parma and schnitzel with chips and veg, and everything was perfect, just as it would’ve tasted had we been able to dine in! We also ordered the garlic bread with cheese, and I don’t believe in my 35 years of life that I have encountered something quite as exquisite as this. I doubt I’ll meet a better garlic bread as long as I live. Only a 20min wait for food as well- can’t wait to order again! Might be our new Friday night...
