Whittlesea Chicken Barn — Restaurant in Melbourne

We went to buy some dinner tonight at whittlesea chicken barn and the owner took my order, he was also serving and taking other orders at the same time and preparing food, when it came time to my order i asked for stuffing in the 2 half of chicken and chip meals and I was told one was already made and he pointed to one that had been sitting there for a while so the chips wouldn’t have been fresh or hot anymore so he continued to make one with stuffing and fresh hot chips and I said no I wanted both with stuffing and he told me NO cause he already made one and I wasn’t happy with having food that’s been sitting there for who knows how long so I told him don’t worry and keep them and I walked out. He was swearing at me using the F word and was continuing to yell as I walked to my car we could hear him from the street. He’s a very rude man who will never change. We won’t be back. No wonder people go to the IGA for roast chickens now the other chicken shop...

Friendly owners but pretty bland roast chickens. Definitely catering for 'takeaway' as, although they have seating the premises lacks atmosphere. Personally only go here if the local IGA has run out of their tasty roast chickens. Pricing for a whole bird is above average. If only Whittlesea had a quality charcoal chicken store or even a Red Rooster to raise the game somewhat but alas the town is too small to support too...
