On our way to another Kbbq buffet which was full we chanced upon Woodo and decided to give it a try. They were running some incredible promotions - under $40 per person for all you can eat, Cass beer cans for $3, truly a bargain. Unfortunately the positives end there. Service was swift, they sat us upstairs while the buffet was downstairs. Inconvenient to get food and climb stairs but not a deal breaker. The buffet looked promising and I was quite excited to dig in. They had a good selection of pre-cooked food as well as plenty of bbq meats displayed in the fridge. Looks can be deceiving - I’m not sure how the cuts of meat which looked so enticing could turn out so bad. The bbq beef labelled wagyu looked fresh - bright red and pork pink but when cooked they all had a very off-putting and unpleasant taste in the mouth. I was extremely surprised! Was it a case of - you get what you pay for?! Such a shame. But I honestly I just couldn’t eat most of their bbq meats - not tasty at all. Even the marinated types - all overly sweet. Our group of 4 initially started off with our first selection of meats but it was hard to want any seconds. Anyways I moved off from the meats to try some of their selections of pre-cooked food which wasn’t any better either. Nothing was special, just a whole lot of food as fillers. Although I did like their spinach banchan and a Thai green sauce condiment. But seriously what a waste of a meal. Not too mad because it was cheap but definitely not a good place for kbbq regardless of price. Wouldn’t do it again.

One of the best value for money kbbqs with insanely good quality meats in melbourne! Was supposed to head to another kbbq just down the street but we chanced upon this little gem and decided to gamble and try this out instead as we were quite tired from walking. Upon going in you could just take a massive whiff of the greasiness and the smell of the different cuts of meats which makes it a authentic kbbq experience already, however i do feel that there is quite a lack of ventilation and it can get quite smoky at times! Now on to the food! *MEATS* -beef was extremely great considering that its free flow, they had up to 6-10 different cuts and i tried almost every cut and it was always tender and delicious when paired with just a little bit of sesame oil and salt. Best cut was the wagyu chuck flap tail and the karubi plate! -pork belly was so good that it can be compared to those that you get in korea, juicy and tender with no heavy pork taste at all which some people may not like. Marinated meats were on point as well with the seasoning but i don’t find a need to get it when the beef and pork already tastes so good without seasoning. Cooked food -the pork rib soup was so good that for a moment i thought i was at a restaurant that serves up authentic gamja-tang, fried food was good as well! Definitely a must go to if you’re looking for affordable and high quality kbbq buffet!

Best Kbbq in melbourne! This is a great little Korean Bbq to go to if your looking for great service, understand they are busy, very busy though. Food is of a high quality and decent portions too. Highly recommend getting bibimbap as a side dish. They also provide lots of side dishes for free like kimchi, lettuce wrap and a few other little pieces. For those that don't know essentially the point fo Kbbq is to have your food cooked in front of you. (Please let them cook it, not yourself.) Like all places there is some minor annoyances. It's one of the few places that does not have extraction vents to help remove smoke, or oil from the air above the hotplates. Wait time, Wait time mainly on weekend days is generally 10-20mins, but like usual this normally hints at the quality of food being provided. So jut be prepared to wait a little on weekends, but trust me its worth the wait. Highly recommend Woodo to people looking to try some Korean with quality ingredients, friendly and speedy service(Once seated).

A disgraceful experience!

My friends and I dined at this restaurant on 27th August 2022. I was appalled at the management of the restaurant for the way they treated my friend, who was the person who actually booked the restaurant for us. 4 members of our party arrived first and was sent upstairs to be seated, we then told the remaining two that we were seated upstairs.

When she arrived with her partner and mentioned that she had a booking and that the rest of the party were already here, she was told there is no booking under her name. She insisted that there was a booking and that the rest of us were upstairs. She was still refused by the Maitre d’. She then asked if they had an upstairs? and was also told ‘no’.

This was unbelievable and not acceptable for an establishment that should be customer service friendly.

When we finally gathered and the end of our session was near, a waiter approached and exclaimed, ‘WE CLOSE AT 10, WE CLOSE AT 10’ whilst giving the bill. I then actually had to say something about his rudeness and abrasiveness. I had to say that ‘there are nicer and politer ways to ask us to leave by simply saying that would you mind paying the bill as we are shutting at 10.’ He then realised his behaviour was not acceptable and nodded however did not apologise.

My advice is to not dine at the last session as you will be basically kicked out and disrespected. The food was decent however way overpriced considering you can go to an all you can eat kbbq and pay the same amount with the freedom of choosing your own meal for...
