Backstreet Bakehouse — Restaurant in Merimbula

Josh - After exploring the town I saw a man with a pie and that got me feeling like one, so after a short search in Merimbula we found the Bakehouse. A cute little shop with the most lovely and polite lady who served us. I got a plain pie ( nothing beats it ) and a caramel hedgehog which was also really good in the afternoon as a treat.

Bella - I hadn’t had a sausage roll in ages and we stumbled upon this little bake house so we decided to give it a try. The food was amazing and service was lovely.

Magnificently friendly service. The lady here was just so lovely cheery and helpful. We were on the road and famished and we just wanted a quick snack. The lady made us a very nice chicken and salad roll despite it being after 3pm, and my wife also grabbed a Portuguese tart to go. We also had a coffee each. The food and coffee were both great and were much appreciated.

Visited Merimbula last week fishing, usually would have visited the bakery on the main street for my early morning pie but it had burnt down! But I thank my lucky stars I found this hidden gem, this has to be my favourite bakery in Australia let alone Merimbula, and it was open at 5.30am the pies are simply the best I have ever tasted, I eat here every day for a week and consider myself an addict now.
