Yummy Thai Merimbula — Restaurant in Merimbula

Extremely disappointing experience at Yummy Thai Merimbula.

We spent $100 and walked out feeling completely ripped off. There were 3 empty tables, yet we were told we couldn’t sit as we didn't book.

After repeatedly asking, the server reluctantly let us dine in — but only if we ate out of plastic takeaway containers and weren’t given proper plates. Absolutely ridiculous.

The beef was undercooked, the portions were tiny, and the female server was unbelievably rude, as if doing her job was a huge inconvenience. Totally unacceptable for the price we paid. I’ve uploaded photos so others can see exactly what we experienced.

We suddenly feel for Thai so decided to try what the local area have to offer. Read a couple of reviews on here with initial reservation, however after dining there, all I can say is that the food was delicious.

The Thai curry dishes are very unique, sweet and spicy of its own right. Coming from Sydney visiting "Time For Thai", this place dises is quite unique. The Food is not too greasy. While the size may look small, beware. Rice is your best friend. Definitely try coconut rice - although you pay a little more for it compare to plain rice, it is all worth it!

Worst Thai ever had!! Called in on way home from trip for dinner take away Ordered beef and ginger sweet and sour pork and fried riceNo authentic flavours in this place those cooking it need lessons beef was very dry no source or ginger just bland rubbish .Pork was just big chunks of battered pork and a few pieces of pineapple dry as a bone.Rice was passable.we could cook better tasting Thai at home.Go back to cooking classes guys and learn how to cook proper Thai .will not ever be be back other places in Merimbula far better.if you serve this stuff up to locals god help the visitors stick clear...
