My partner and I went out with two of our dear friends last night to a new restaurant at the Club Sapphire, located in Merimbula, called Kitty’s. Both myself and my beau are real foodies and are really fussy about our food and what we call a “Restaurant”. Well, we weren’t disappointed dining at Kitty’s! Firstly and foremost, the service was generous and friendly. All of the staff operating the restaurant and bar were polite, extremely helpful and best of all, they operated with a friendly and happy attitude towards us, their patrons. The ambience was perfect , boasting both indoor and outdoor dining with a subtle, modern take on the decor. It was formally informal( if that makes sense)to suit all age groups of which there was last night. The food was great! 3 of us had the “Feed me menu” which included 4 savory dishes finishing off with a dessert. I spent my time saying “Yummy” and “delicious” a lot. The boys enjoyed a variety of beers whilst us two girls did all things girly sipping on cocktails. All in all, a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Read moreFirst of all let me say the food was very flavourful and beautifully presented. The decor is fresh, upmarket with knowledgeable staff behind the bar. Unfortunately the quantity of food on the plate is minimal. Six small peices of Korean Fried Chicken on a plate, whilst delicious does not fill a hole. We ordered 3 dishes between the 2 of us initially, and then ordered the Sticky Beef Ribs. Our waiter told us that the food would be out shortly. Half an hour went by and still no ribs. We asked the waiter how the ribs were going and he said he thought that they had come out, he then went to find out what was happening. A short time later he informed us that the ribs had gone to another table and now unfortunately they had run out. We were reimbursed for the food and ended up leaving hungry. Could be a lot better....
Read moreWe booked a Thursday night as kids welcome. However I wouldn't come back with kids. It is not a very kid friendly venue. I thought maybe there would be a small kids menu available but nothing. I ordered my son a steamed rice and asked for 2 Bao buns as most things were spicy. The food was lovely and delicious but for share plates i would prefer to pay a little more and have more food. I felt portions too small. The vegetable stir fry was mainly onions and i would not recommend. We spent $60 each for 3 adults on food alone and still went home feeling hungry. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful. I would like to come back again as food was lovely but I don't feel it was value for money and not...
