I recently visited the grill paradise steakhouse for a special occasion (Birthday) and from the very moment we arrived we were greeted by the staff who can only be described as delightful and truly attentive, once seated we enjoyed drinks from the bar including a Long Island ice tea which was exceptionally well prepared proving the Barman's ability and passion for his craft. Then it was time for entreeâs, our table selected the salt & pepper squid as well as the chefâs tasting plate which was comprised of grilled baby octopus, arancini balls & another helping of salt and pepper squid that was not a disappointment as the table was most pleased to have the extra serve of this superb dish. Then for mains the whole table with the exception of one person having scotch fillet ordered the eye fillet topped with garlic prawns for a delicious surf nâ turf, although I was told the scotch was amazing also in âmy opinionâ it couldnât compare to the eye fillet I ordered as the cut of meat was absolutely outstanding quality and being that I have my steak Blue (very rare) I was pleasantly surprised when the chef prepared this request nothing short of flawlessly!!! An undeniable sign of his experience and talent! A solid 10/10!! After our table had eaten, Owner Sam accompanied by his chef approached our table eagerly seeking our feedback on our meals making it abundantly clear that they really do care about their customers satisfaction, their meal preparation as well as your dining experience. I myself had a faultless night due to the kind staff & spectacular food. I will definitely be returning to The grill paradise & see it becoming a personal favorite restaurant of mine. Well done on your steakhouse Sam, my expectations were thoroughly exceeded, you whacked it outta the park mate! Steak enthusiasts: seriously, book a table ...tonight, you can thank...
Read moreIt wouldnât take much to increase our rating to a 5 star. We shared Bruschetta which was nice but one of the 3 pieces of bread was tiny and another small piece should have been included if they are to serve such a small slice. For our mains 2 of us had the slow cooked lamb which was only just warm. The other had the eye fillet with surf and turf which was lovely - if not slightly overcooked for the chosen medium rare. We ordered an extra side of broccolini that we enquired as to where it was after all meals delivered. We were well on our way to eating our mains when we had to ask its where about again and it promptly arrived . The 4 dish ordered was the pasta which was also lovely in flavour but just warm. We ordered 2 sticky date puddings and 3 tea for dessert. The sticky date was light on with the sauce but lovely. What was most disappointing was to be charged $6 per tea and it was barely half a cup each. When queries upon paying the bill we were told that is the way they measure out the tea. $4-$5 for a tea would be more appropriate to charge and why not fill the pots of tea up with more water. Any other time I have a tea out, I often get 2 serves per pot. To not even have a full cup and for it to be only luke warm was disappointing. As I said it wouldnât have taken much to jump to a 5 star, especially when we questioned the tea price and to not be offered to take 1 serve off would have been nice. The price point of this dining experience was on the higher end but these short comings didnât match what we paid...
Read moreCame here for a valentines set menu dinner on Valentineâs Day. As soon as we sat down we were waiting for our âon arrivalâ bread and butter which was just 2 Coles dinner rolls, took about 20 minutes after the waitress asked us for our drink order and if we still wanted our bread and butter which I said yes. Drinks took quite a fair bit of time to come out as well, ordered a coke and a pineapple juice with Malibu which tasted fizzy (obviously the pineapple juice was off), told the waitress and while the second drink was being made we watched the bartender sniff the bottles before pouring the same drink for the second time, the second drink was brought out and was still fizzy. We had a time limit of an hour 15minutes for our dinner booking (5pm-6:15pm) Our main meals werenât even served to us by 6pm. We had quite bland sad meals for a $89 pp set menu. We had people around us that had gotten there after us being served and out the door before us. Once we had finally got all of our meals out the way and went to pay the man behind the till had the decency to ask if we had small change to give him in exchange for a $20 note because his till was short. We walked out, none of the staff said bye. Waitress never had a smile on her face and chewed gum the whole time. Whole experience was crappy and unprofessional. Not worth the...
