I am not used to leaving negative comments for the simple and good reason that having worked for years in catering I understand the complexity that this profession can engage but for the moment I need, out of respect for this profession and for the people who will want to make it in this restaurant transmit my disastrous experience within this establishment. I booked for 12 people I was asked for a deposit of $10 per person.... First time that such a request is made to me but fair enoughā¦ā¦we arrived on time and our table wasnāt ready for 15 minutes . The waitress seemed very stressed and asked us to orders while we had barely opened our menus, she came back several times in a few minutes to ask us if our choice is made. When the food arrived she asked us straight if we want a desert because the kitchen closes; we had been sitting there for just 30 minutes. No one specified in the reservation that the kitchen closed at 8:30 p.m. otherwise I would not have booked for 12 people. We were still eating and the staff starts vacuum cleaning and stores the plants from the outside!!! The food was really disastrous in terms of taste and smell! My dish smelled of old fish and the texture of my other dish was very weird as well!!! I do not recommend this restaurant and advise the staff to train it in the catering professions!!!! This isn't a place people come to merely to enjoy a meal. It's an experience, whether you're running in or not. Original review: I'm not usually one for the rather overused saying 'I'd give this place six stars if I could,' but Mr Bun Mi deserves it and without irony. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, the serves are generous and well-priced, the food is phenomenal... In point of fact, my order came in a huge bowl which I was seriously uncertain I was going to manage. The likelihood is high that I would have taken half of it home in takeaway containers had it not been easily the best Vietnamese I've ever eaten. If you didn't offer a table because none were available, then that's normal. But to show us to a table, then have another waitress come over and say "no, leave this table for other people, get them to wait for that one over there" is just plain rude.
Very disappointed. You've lost a couple of loyal regular customers. I know you're busy enough to not care, but I'm not desperate enough to pay to be treated like that. š”
