Mario's Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Mooroopna

New owners 2017 destroyed what WAS formerly (with old owners) a great pizza. Pizza now costs $2 more, Very overpriced and appalling quality!. has awful very dry pizza base, only 1 prawn per slice on a "prawn pizza", stingy toppings which are indistinguishable, chopped so finely there is no flavour on pizza except flour, tomato and oregano. I ordered Taylas special (prawn, pineapple mushroom, ham). Got 1 small prawn per slice, less than 1/2 champignon sliced ever so thinly over ENTIRE large pizza (so 1/10th of a champignon per slice), could not taste any ham at all!!, and got 1/2 teeny piece of pineapple cut into 1/4's.. Everything cut so finely there was no flavour. Never again, not with this chef. With last owners....formerly great crust. perfectly cooked and well...

Made pH order for delivery, person was speaking that fast I couldn't understand, got pH call saying delivery man at my door went out, no sighne of him at my property, looked up road n his sitting in car, tried to tell him to look to his right and he will see me on lawn, think it took a few mins to repeat it again before he came down the road to quick, thaught he was going to hit me. Then I paid for pizza,s and asked for the machine receipt from paying with card all I got was no paper no paper look no paper, then to top it off the pizza,s where shocking, gone miles down hill. Wish Mario was back. Never ever...

As a connoisseur of pizza, from Phillip Island to Canberra, this is one of the better places I’ve been to in recent history. I don’t know why I went into Shepparton for my birthday, when I live closer to this shop, but it’s a good choice for pizza and a good thing it’s close enough to walk to.
