Poor effort to help their guests! ||||Letās start with the phone call, when I made the booking the woman on the phone said āthere was no availability in the hotel but there was in the motel.ā ||She said āthatās better anyway because the hotel is s**tā, she giggled and said āahaha probably shouldnāt say thatā.||||Upon arrival to the hotel I went to have a shower and there was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. I rang and she said ācheck itās on the wallā, I said āI did checkā and she said ācan you double checkā I said āIām standing in the shower and there is nothing hereā and she said āare you sure, thatās strangeā. As if I was making it up to get extra shampoo!||||She was rude when she walked in and spoke to us, she was rude when I rang back and asked for another pillow, didnāt want to bring it out. I Couldnāt get the TV or kettle to work, and the towels were damp when I went to use them.||||I rang her in the morning (around 10.30) and said I left at 9 to be somewhere which I thought would only take half hour and said I would be back within the next hour and she said that was fine. I got back to the hotel to find 1 of our bags (only 1, she left the rest) as āransomā for a late fee. Not once did she tell me on the phone that there will be a late fee she said it was fine to come back and get them when I was finished||||The room also had a weird/bad smell almost smelt like stale water, I didnāt look but thought it could be water spilt on the carport and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNoisy - we were given a room behind the hotel, and they had a DJ playing right in front of us in the hotel's backyard, which went on until midnight. The only reason we stayed there was to take some rest, but wasn't possible with the DJ on until midnight!
Dirty! We were first sent to a different room which smelt horrifyingly bad as if someone had been murdered there, and upon complaining we were moved to a different room, mouldy yet better smelling than the first one.
No internet - the internet was only available in the bar or the main hotel area (where we actually booked) but they placed us in motel room which had no internet. The manager said sometimes that area gets internet reception if you're lucky!
Heater - wall-fitted split aircon/heater - started making horrible sounds in the middle of the night. I turned it off, and when tried to turn it back on, the remote stopped working as it had weak batteries. After thumping the remote on my leg 10 times, it worked only to turn the heater on with the same noises. Eventually we turned off the heater altogether and slept in cold!
The cleaners came at 9.30 while the check out time is 10am - and we said we will leave in 15 minutes but they started taking rounds outside our room, and eventually got into the room while I was still taking the luggage out...

The staff were insufferable and were targeting individuals into being barred service of everything from drink down to food, witnessed by myself.
Even then, the food was underprepared in places that couldāve easily been avoidable and the items I had ordered were forgotten or substituted for things I did not order. (Do not order the āGrilled Barramundiā, apparently to the āRoyalā it means āBeer Battered Flatheadā even know regardless, it was undercooked and half frozen. It had been ordered with mash and veg and came with chips and salad anyway. Absolutely hopelessā¦) I have travelled hours from my home in South Mid QLD on my way to visit family in Melbourne, VIC to only be let down by what had happened last night.
Thank goodness I did not stay in their accomodation. I can only imagine what condition the rooms must have been if their service is anything like their maintenance⦠š”
I hope to good God they do not continue to treat people the way they have experienced service here. It is beyond horrendous to see people being treated with this sort of discrimination.
