I visited Lobethal Bakery in Mount Barker late in the day and picked up a salad roll, a strawberry matcha, and a sweet treat. The salad roll was surprisingly decent given the time — fresh enough and tasted pretty good. The strawberry matcha, on the other hand, was pretty underwhelming and didn’t leave much of an impression. Friendly staff and a great range of produce. I had a cappuccino there and took a custard Berliner to eat later. Both were very nice. I love custard treats, so I am a bit disappointed to see the beestings made with cream, and I don't like coconut on vanilla slices. This leaves limited options. I have tried their pies previously, which are pretty good. Am yet to try their bread and ice cream 🍦 😋.
