I recently had the misfortune to book a room at the Plantagenet Hotel for 6 days. To say the room was a throw back to the 1970s would be an understatement. The bed head and floor mounted aircon unit were as old as I am. The main light didn't work, the light above the sink in the bathroom didn't work, and the radiant heater above the bed didn't work. ||The carpet had burn marks from the iron on it. There was only one mug for coffee and one glass for cold drinks. The cable for the jug was that short that it would not sit far enough on the fridge to be stable. It actually shook itself off the fridge when it was boiling and spilt all over floor right next to the power board.||The shower head had calcium all over it and was not adjustable. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan and once you had a shower, you could not use the mirror above the vanity. ||When it rained, the rusted roof beam on the verand above the walkway in front of the room leaked heavily. You could not walk along the veranda without getting saturated. I would prefer to stay in a caravan before staying here again.||The toilet blocked up twice, the mesh on the windows above the shower and toilet were that clogged with dust that there was no airflow. There was no way you could wash your dishes such as the cups / mugs / bowls and we did not have room service during the 6 days. The complimentary milk or tea / coffee was not replaced during the 6 days. There was dust everywhere, spiders on the walls and the wood panelling on the walls had gaps in it.||The pillows were wafer thin which resulted in me purchasing another pillow so my Wife could have a decent night sleep. On the first night, the patrons were that loud that we could not get to sleep until 1 am. One of the other nights, another of the patrons staying at the hotel had their car turned sideways in the carpark. The car park out the front of the unit was always filled by other cars who were in the hotel either working or drinking. Half of the time, I had to park on the road instead of in front...

Read moreStayed in a double room number 1, the weekend of 14th, 15th February 2025. Front door step to high, very dangerous. No hand rails in bathroom or toilet. No microwave or toaster. No small table. One chair only. No air-conditioning No ceiling fan No exhaust fans in shower or toilet room. No safety fly screens on window at front . Have to leave door open for fresh air. Salt and pepper shakers in utensil box were dried up in a hard ball, un useable. Cutlery missing. Parking for guests at a premumium. Hotel patrons allowed to park in back parking area, blocking guests. Most annoying. Hotel patrons using back gate entry into or out of the beer garden. Noisy patrons late at night in beer garden and when leaving late at night through back gate disturbing guests who are staying in motel rooms. Yelling, blowing car horns and reving cars. Defenetly not safe for any disabled person. No wheel chair or walker access. Extreamily dangerous for anyone and certainly do not recommend...
