I've been to Subaru Sushi and Noodle Bar a few times now. It’s a decent spot if you’re after a big, filling bowl of seafood laksa soup. The portion size is generous, and the price is fair for what you get. The laksa itself is okay...not amazing, but it does the job when you're hungry. One thing that consistently throws me off is the carrots. I hate carrots. Especially when they’re half-cooked and crunchy in a bowl of laksa. It just doesn’t work for me. Traditionally, carrots aren’t part of the dish, and here it feels more like filler than a proper ingredient. That said, the staff is friendly, and the service has always been welcoming. Overall, it’s not a standout place, but if you’re looking for something warm, hearty, and affordable, it’s not a bad option.

This place is consistently awesome... I can't eat sushi anywhere else becuase its the best value here. The soups are good so is the salt pepper pork, honey chicken, lemon chicken, black bean beef all the noodle dishes, the deep fried sushi is something else!

Their sushi is by far the best in the Adelaide Hills. The ingredients and rice taste really fresh, as I’ve noticed the rice often tastes stale at other places. Service has always been lovely as well. Quite happy to frequent this place :)

I usually love it here and would rate five stars but the last couple months I have avoided this store purely because of one the servers attitude. As a hospitality worker myself, I try to be as polite and understanding because I know what it's like but this particular woman is rude to me no matter what I order, say or do and today was the last straw after she glared at me and tried to convince me not to order what I wanted, for ordering the last of the fried chicken rolls (which I understand is annoying but I'm a paying customer and I shouldn't be made to feel bad). All I wanted was some lunch and some food to have for dinner later after cleaning my house all morning, fix your customer...

The absolute best place to eat in Mount Barker. I’d go as far as to say one of the best places to eat in SA. I’m a major critic and very hard to please, but oh my lord the food here is absolutely to DIE for.

I know a lot of people go for the sushi (I dine in and see almost everyone come just for sushi) but god you must try their actual menu. The chefs are beyond talented and once you’ve eaten the food you’ll never go back.

I’ve been three times in the last two weeks and going back again today. The Mongolian beef is my personal favourite.

And so cost effective in such an expensive time, I cannot complain about single thing with this...
