Golden Chopsticks — Restaurant in Mount Gambier

We've eaten here quite often and always enjoyed our meals until this week. Ordered the garlic prawns as a side. Batter was thick and underdone. The rest of the meal was fine. Only a couple of tables and service was lacking. I finally went up to pay and mentioned we left the prawns as they were doughy. She reluctantly took half the price off and was defending the cook saying that's how they cook them. They should of came back to the table and checked if we needed anything and how our meal was. Again it was very quiet. I complimented the waitress on the meal but tried to explain the prawn issue. She didn't want to know about it. You need to listen to your customers. Not sure if we'll be back. Maybe if it was handled...

First time dining here. We booked in on a Thursday night for a table of 4. Easy street parking. Greeted as we entered by friendly staff. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the decor is perfect for this Chinese dining experience. We were able to bring our own bottles of wine and paid corkage. Our meals were served quickly and were sizzling hot and delicious. We chose to order many menu items and shared them all between the 4 of us. We never imagined we could eat all of the food that was served but we ate it all because it was so good! An extensive and authentic Chinese menu at really affordable prices. Dine in, take away and delivery.

Ambience is fantastic, service speed is very fast, however service quality by one particular waiteress is below average, food quality is below average, menu is not really customizable, house wine is very cheap and unauthentic (tastes quite sh*t to be honest), everything felt rushed.

For a high price that you pay, you're meant to get a lot nicer outcome not this. I'd definitely not come back again.
