-EDIT-
Had a coffee today, was good, wasn't burnt, only single cup, wasn't too hot. Good job Muffin Break, you did it - proud of you.
Okay, I've been drinking their coffee for a few weeks now, which leads one to believe I'd get used to the horrific taste; if you do believe that, oh how you're mistaken. Now don't get me wrong, amazing customer service, everyone is so lovely, but that doesn't change one inexcusable fact: the coffee is garbage.
I have a few issues here, firstly: why is it, then when I ask for a coffee, and I get it in my hands it is lukewarm to the touch, yet I drink it and it scalds my mouth? That my friends, is what happens when you (rather than making a reasonable choice and putting a shot of cold water in) put two cups on - how much do you have to hate the environment to do that? It's probably not even the fault of the workers, someone higher up probably said it was a good idea... it's not. Just put a shot of cold water in it, nobody wants scalding coffee anyway?
Secondly; the brewing of their coffee needs to improve - I don't want to sound picky (but it's probably too far gone for that). You know when you take a sip of coffee and you're greeted by the natural bitterness of it, the nutty undertones and the natural flavours. But, this coffee; harsh bitterness, and then just water. This tells me three things; they don't test their grounds at the start of the day, to find out the brewing method that suits the climate and environment around the store, that they double brew the grounds, and that the temperature they use is far too high. Please, if you're going to brew coffee learn how to do it right, it isn't that hard to not burn the grounds, to replace the grounds after one use, and to test the grounds every morning...
Other than that it's a...
Read moreService was disappointing, inadequate, coffee was slower than it should be for something simple. Not the best Muffin Break in Mount Gambier, in comparison to the other located at The Marketplace. The dining experience isn't the best, though that isn't Muffin Break's fault, but more so Central's. It would have been nice if the sugars were provided on the tray, since their not on the tray, but maybe you can get some at the counter. The food was alright, unlike the coffee's which could have been quicker as i stated and stronger. The food was alright, the coffee could have been better, the staff could have been more attentive to detail in the order and the dining experience which isn't their fault,...
