Collars and Cuffs Licensed Cafe — Restaurant in Mount Gambier

The layout is very cute, old school diner, complete with booths with green seats.

Staff were friendly on arrival, letting me know the specials of the day and directing me to sit where I pleased.

Upon viewing the menu I was a bit surprised by the price of some of the items on the menu, with garlic bread at $9 (I think I recalled that accurately), but assumed there'd be some reason for it. I settled on a grilled chicken sour dough sandwich, chai latte and a brownie for good measure.

The main came with chips and I was pleasantly surprised it was similar to a hot pocket, but the ingredients were all good quality. Grilled chicken, bacon, baby spinach, red onion and camembert. Well worth what I paid and I enjoyed it immensly.

This licensed Cafe is right in the middle of Mount Gambiers town centre so it makes it a great place to pop in for all day breakfasts, lunch and coffees.

I dined in. They have indoor and outdoor seating. An extensive menu as well as many cakes and other sweet treats in their dessert cabinet. There is also the daily specials board.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was served quickly and was fresh and tasty and hot. Heaps of variety - including vegetarian and gf options. Licensed venue so you have have a cheeky glass of wine or other alcohol drink.

Inexpensive, great atmosphere.

We have been long term customers at Collars and Cuffs, always enjoyed the food but I won’t be going back as of today. The owner tried to charge me $3.50 for a slice of cheese in my brekky wrap…the wrap contains egg, bacon and a hash brown for $13.90 but then I saw the price was bumped up to $19.50 for the slice of cheese added the owner said when I questioned it. I am unsure what she tried to charge the extra $2.10 for? Maybe the sauce too? Anyway, this is not how you keep customers.
