MoMo's Dumplings (Jade House) Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Myrtleford

We have been coming to Sam's Place (Jade ) for a year and a half. The food is always good, and Sam cooks it to your liking. In recent times, Sam has got so busy that the waitresses when they answer the phone for Takeaway. ( We dine in). We generally sit within Audible distance of the phone at reception, we hear often that the waitress has to explain food may be as long as 1hr 10mins, To both Phone orders and walk ins for Food. It's a shame that we see orders being cancelled both over the phone and at counter, Over the length of time to wait to be supplied. Surely this is DOLLARS walking out the door. In one evening for an hour we heard 4 Phone and 1 Counter orders turned away. Hope this business survives because Food is Good, But obviously turning away customers will...

We were very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. The price is very reasonable. We had table service, but the takeaway service must be very popular going by the number of people coming in and ordering takeaway. The chef is Chinese and he is a great cook. My wife chose the spring rolls and she said they were the best she's had in years. We were served by Heidi who is very friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure on our next visit...

Special fried rice was dry and disgusting. Normally you get pork, beef and prawns. No beef, pork or prawns with this rice just ham and some peas. Worst ever. We also ordered beef and black bean. Beef was super dry and tasteless. Plus you can't pay by card as they are waiting for a new credit card machine. What a load of rubbish. They said the same thing last Easter when we were here.
