Nairne Corner Takeaway — Restaurant in Nairne

We have been local customers for many years now and have always thought and reccomended that it had the best food. However we have noticed on many ocassions in the past year a decline in a few things. It seems to have happened since the owners have left more of the service/cooking to the teens they have employed and given responsibility. There has been many time now that we get our order home after being very clear about what it is or what salt or no salt or chicken packs being dry and overcooked etc, that it has been wrong. I have rang and complained a few times now. I'm not sure what your system is, but all staff need to read and check the dockets to the food and make sure its right, instead of just getting it from the grill or fryer and bagging it! These people are amazing. Grabbed a burger with the lot. Grabbed some chips. It tasted like how it was for me when I was a teenager back in the 90’s. So good! Not many places can do the authentic milk-bar taste anymore. Loved it. The people serving were also extremely polite and kind. Fantastic shop owners.

Reading some of the negative comments in the lower 1 star reviews made me think “man it’s hard to please some people. Drop kicks! Absolute whinging losers in deserve of a good solid head-butt. My goodness! This world is full of some self-entitled brats. One person whinging they got too much salt after they initially had too little. Shake it off ya loser! 😡 Good on you for pulling down a 5 star place to 4.6! 👏👏👏 Well done Gumby!”

It's Monday evening, we decided to get something for tea after visiting nairne community pharmacy. We called our local takeaway at woodside and they were closed.. We will call that a blessing in disguise. After a quick search we stumbled across nairne corner takeaway nestled in the quaint little town in the Adelaide Hills called nairne. As soon as we walk in the door we were welcomed with a smile and the aroma of food being cooked. My partner and I ordered a "big rig" which is a yiros pack with double meat, garlic sauce on a bed of chips.
