We found this restaurant by chance… The Beef and Burramundi Restaurant. *The Food: Every part of the entree, main and desert meals were exceptional; the ingredients were fresh, the servings were decent size, the flavours were delicious. Best squid I have eaten - perfectly soft and delicious. *The Atmosphere: The atmosphere was relaxed, lighting was soothing, the tables for two were big and spacious, the aesthetic was relaxing. The space was neat, clean, homely, cosy and professional-restauranty. Perfect for a rainy night in a cosy place. The only thing I can fault was low heating but still worth a night out here and something easily resolved. *The Entertainment: We were surprised to have been informed that there was going to be live music - singing… the singing and choice of songs was also perfect, relaxing and bliss. *The Customer Service: All staff treated us and others exceptionally well… very personable, very welcoming and genuine from the start throughout to the finish. *Parking: We found parking within a 50 metre walk. Easy to park for a Friday night. *Prices: Prices were worth it for the quality and size of food. Around $20 per entree - that we ordered, and around $40 for each main and we shared a desert for around $15. *Overall: The food at the Beef and Burramundi Restaurant in Ettalong Beach NSW has one of the FINEST quality ingredients I have eaten in over a decade of attending fine dining -in Sydney NSW. I wish I had discovered this restaurant sooner. I never knew about this little treasure until yesterday. Unfortunately it was the day after my birthday. If only I’d known about it one day earlier . I would have definitely invited my friends there to celebrate my birthday. There isn’t a lot to do on the central coast but last night I felt like I was somewhere totally new. The atmosphere was beautiful. The decor was unique. Everyone was having a fun time and it felt like a close nit family. The guests all singing along to the music. It reminded me of the small community atmosphere on a small cruise ship with the soft lighting and decor. ( cruising is my favourite thing) When Trevor ( the owner) got up on stage and performed , I was even more thrilled. He sung and played the saxophone to many of my favourite classic tunes including Stevie wonder and Barry White. This doesn’t happen a lot down terrigal where the crowd is very young and it always feels like a dance party. I’m 49 but any age group would love this venue. There was even a dance floor which quickly occupied two beautiful children who also loved to dance . The food was incredible. I ordered the lamb and my friend ordered the beef. The combination of the foot itself and the presentation were exceptional. You can tell that Trevor and his wife are passionate about their restaurant. I’ll be making a reservation for my mum next weekend and will be organising a girls night out shortly. What a breath of fresh air. Ettalong’s secret revealed. Beef and Barramundi at Ettalong. My husband decided it was date night and found this quiet little gem of a restaurant. We were greeted with beautiful smiling people enjoying their workplace which was so nice and welcoming. The owner then let us choose where we sat, of course a window seat. We ordered 2 rounds of cocktails, first one being a Mojito and Midori Splice for the win! Then a dairy free Pina Colada and again a Midori Splice. I’m quite the cocktail cretic so I’m hard to please and I was definitely pleased. Amazing ratios of alcohol to mixers. Our entrees came out shortly after, oyster Kilpatrick and garlic ciabatta which was so flavoursome and piping hot. Extremely fresh! Our mains were sirloin steak with salad and chips (so tender and again so nice and hot) and hubby had the barramundi with a decadent carrot puree and vegetables which were crisp and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding and the food and drinks exceeded my expectations. Thank you to the whole team for making our experience so enjoyable and our belly’s are full and happy.
