Bliss Ice Cream and Gelato — Restaurant in New South Wales

Summary: Terrible coffee, shockingly bad ice cream, stale disgusting churros, unbelievably rude staff, obvious dog haters. Avoid at all costs. There are much better businesses with much better products with much kinder people, spend your money there, not here.

Witnessed an older male employee doing general cleaning very rudely, loudly and intimidatingly demand a very frail old woman who was alone with her small elderly dog, who was eating an ice cream purchased from there and sitting on one of their outdoor tables, to "get the bloody dog outta here", "move that dog" "dog can't be here move it", all before she even had a chance to understand what was going on. The small dog was under the table minding it's own business and not actually in the premises. There was no signage saying dogs were not permitted under the outdoor tables. The older male did not offer to assist the frail old woman who was visibly distraught by this large man very aggressively demanding she move. Myself and my wife assisted the elderly woman to move her self, her bag, ice cream and dog to an adjacent public table less than a metre away. The old male employee continued his aggressive cleaning, watching us with disdain from a distance as we helped. He could have asked a lot nicer, and helped assist the older patron. Reading other reviews, none of this is surprising.

If I could select zero stars I would have but unfortunately you can not proceed without atleast 1 star. Me and my family visited shellharbour and we where excited to see the new marina. The day was beautiful we decided to grab ice cream as this was the only ice cream shop I could see around we walked in and where looked at in an unusual way by the three young staff there. All three looked miserable and unpleasant to be serving/working. No greeting, no friendly face nor smile. We started placing our order one by one as there was eight of us the young boy there looked frustrated and irritated by us ordering. The owner or manager needs to desperately have all three staff trained on manners, and customer service...

Very disappointed, I had ordered a chocolate thick shake in a small. As I am pregnant I didn’t realise they use soft serve until I saw them making a order before me, as I am not able to have this, I had kindly asked if i could have normal ice cream instead as that’s what I thought you would use as it’s an ice cream and a gelato place? Once they had made it they told me I need to pay an extra $3, In total paid $10.00 for a small drink. Very over priced if you ask me.. wouldn’t recommend this place to any of our family or friends visiting the area. Please if this happens in future tell the customer it’s going to be extra prior to making the drink...
