Hubby and I gave Tuggerah another go today. Hubby ordered the New Chicken Ribs after seeing the advertisements, they looked so appetising and juicy. I ordered a cheese burger because 18months ago we didn’t have a good experience. Thought we’d give them another chance today.. big mistake.. Huge.. the chicken ribs looked like they had been cooked hours before if not the previous day and then kept under a heat lamp. They were so dark, hard and dry you couldn’t even nibble on them at all. Hubby struggled to tear 2 of the larger pieces of chicken apart. My burger was sub standard as it was so soggy, not hot and not edible (so much sauce it wet the bun). The chips were warm and if you were still hungry after that disappointment you could have eaten them but you needed to fast before they’ll lost all heat. We were so disappointed and embarrassed as others had seen us dissecting the meal We stood up and bagged the lot and put it in the bin on our way out. Before people ask if complained, I was ready too. I got up with food in hand and as I was approaching the counter to complain I seen two very young employees at the counter front. One was training the other on the computer system. I could not see anyone I would consider as a manager or senior person so returned to hubby and we decided to throw our meal away and cut our losses. We went...
Read moreI had hoped that after the refurbishment that things would be great. I had been eagerly waiting for the store to re-open.
Sadly, my hopes were dashed. I placed an order for a breakfast meal online, and then drove to the store. I waited at the drive-thru booth for about two minutes while the car in the other booth was being served. Why have two booths if you're only servicing one of them?
After I placed my order I waited in line behind two cars for close to ten minutes for my meal. The 'Pay' window was attended, but by the time I got to it, they'd put up a sign saying 'Next Window Please'. After another while I made my way to the second window, and was told by the person there that they were only serving meals from the third window and that'd I'd have to wait again.
After what seemed like an eternity, I got to the third window, and waited again. Eventually the window was opened and I was handed my meal, but was not given an apology for the delay, nor even a Hello, nor a Goodbye, nor a Thank you.
VERY disappointing Hungry Jacks!
Oh, and to top it off, they scraped the BBQ sauce off my burger after realising I'd ordered it without BBQ sauce, meaning my burger still stank and tasted of...
Read moreWe went for breakfast while we were waiting for tyres to be fitted and w h at a disappointment .My bacon and egg roll looked liked it was made by a 4yr as it looked like no care was taken making it.The Hash browns were underdone and soggy .The coffee was passable but hardly enjoyable .My wife ordered the cheese toastie which looked nothing like the photo .The sandwich was flattened so hard it ended up being half the thickness of one slice of bread and we weren't sure whether they had forgotten the cheese. I can only assume the kids working are understaffed and poorly trained I wanted to complain but I couldn't see anyone old enough to make a difference .Even the length of time it took to receive our meals were much longer than you would expect at the opposition next door. The restaurant was NOT overly busy with only 3 tables being used.If this was my store I would pay attention to training these kids properly and teaching them the importance of greeting the customer and preparing the food so it has some resemblance...
