I go to Hungry Jacks West Gosford pretty frequently (or at least used to). Easily upwards of 4 times a week. I frequently tell them in person when I've had exceptionally good, or exceptionally bad service, and when the store or myself are busy or If the team seem uninterested I will put my feedback through online.
In the last year or two I've submitted upwards of ten online feedback via the app, not always negative. In conversation with the Area Manager of the Central Coast region MICK apparently being a frequent customer and regularly submitting feedback will result in them ignoring your feedback in the future.
Speaking to the manager Daniel yesterday over the phone he didn't seem confident in dealing with customer complaints, was quite hesitant. He offered me a credit in replacement of giving me the wrong meal and I informed him I don't often make it in time for breakfast (which is what I ordered). He said if I come in ask for a manager.
I submitted the feedback online following the phone call as I wasn't thrilled with the outcome and preferred a refund for my order, as I ended up throwing out what was given to me (wrong order).
Seven hours later Hungry Jacks Gosford attempted to call me back, however I missed the call. I chose to wait until the same time the following day to call the store again to request the refund as it makes sense that the same manager would be on the same shift. The next boy to answer the phone told me I was unable to collect the refund as I never returned the food and as I got more and more upset he tried to de-escalate by telling me "it's okay" while doing nothing further to assist me in refunding my meal.
I submitted feedback online AGAIN for the same instance as I was unhappy with the lack of communication towards me around getting a cash refund, and wanted this to be escalated to someone higher as I felt the boy over the phone wasn't confident or experienced.
I received a call from the central coast area manager within the hour. He was extremely hostile and aggressive. He told me that I should have taken the food back and when giving him the above explaination he became more heated, telling me that I have submitted TOO MANY feed backs and they would no longer be accepting feedback from me.
He continued to tell me that it is apparent I do not like Hungry Jacks and that I should not come back. This is absolutely not the case. Hungry Jacks is my favourite fast food retailer, and I agree with the quote "the burgers are better", however i will not allow anyone to speak to me the way mick did. If we are making assumptions about one another, my assumption of him is that he is a hostile and abusive man for no regard for his customers or the quality of service being given in the Central Coast Area. He is combative and will escalate minor issues instead of attempting to de-escalate.
Thanks to Mick Area Manager for the Central Coast region I am typing thing while battling an anxiety attack in the bathroom of my place of employment.
I've worked in the food and retail industries my entire teenage and adult life and never have I ever been spoken to with such hostility and disregard by any customer, nor customer service representative.
At this point I barely care about the refund. Mistakes happen, and the team at West Gosford are generally patient and kind, and are quick to do what THEY can to rectify mistakes. It's understandable that the boy over the phone didn't have the authority to issue a refund, which is why I submitted online feedback. MICK THE AREA MANAGER OF THE CENTRAL COAST REGION needs to learn social skills and should probably reach out to apologise as he failed to do so while he was abusing me over the phone.
I wish him the worst in all his future endeavours. His management quality and the way he speaks to his unhappy customers is beyond poorly. If you want the Central Coast area to absolutely hate Hungry Jacks, keep Mick as the...

It’s honestly baffling how this keeps happening. This is now the second time I’ve had a terrible experience at this outlet. I’m not sure whether it’s poor training, complete disregard for basic standards, or sheer indifference.
I stopped by the drive-thru for a quick coffee—nothing complicated, just the usual. I was handed a cup with the lid barely secured by a staff member whose excessively long nails were quite unsettling. Is hygiene not a requirement for food service staff anymore?
As I placed the cup into my car’s cupholder, the lid immediately popped off, spilling hot coffee all over me and the inside of my car. It was frustrating enough to deal with the mess and damage, but what really added insult to injury was the staff member’s complete lack of response. She saw what happened, stood at the window for a moment, then walked away—no apology, no offer to help, no attempt to provide napkins. Just complete indifference.
Since this has happened twice, I am seriously thinking if this was intentional or is the staff here really mentally challenged.
To make matters worse, when I tried to salvage what was left of the coffee, it tasted nothing like what I ordered. It had an odd, unpleasant flavour—closer to a whopper than a brew. I’m not sure how that even happens.
I wasted the next hour and a half cleaning coffee out of my car and trying to calm down from an evening that was completely wrecked by this...
Read moreA sad story about Hungry Jacks Gosford. Pay attention to the big pictures of burgers advertised. Look closely at the filling with lashings of juicy salad. Big pieces of juicy red tomato big pieces of onion and nice thick piece of meat and cheese. What you get when you order is a flat lifeless piece of slapped together slop. A few strands of lettuce and a thin slice of half green tomato. Dont ask for a burger like the picture they will tell you you have to pay for EXTRA salad. Dont ask the manager to have a burger like their big pictures not extra just what they advertise as to what they supply. The little school girl manager will argue with you if you rightfully point out the disparity between what they advertise and what they serve. My burger was sad and disgusting. I tried to talk to her she kept talking over me and giving the excuse that there was a shortage of lettuce. This is a disgusting lie. HJ pay rock bottom price to the farmers for their supplies. Now prices in supermarkets are returning to normal. There is no relationship to supermarket price and what HJ pay for salad products. The little school girl manager had not customer relations skill clearly overbearing and not at all experienced at handling customer concerns. Shame On Hungry Jacks upper management for not training and appointing mature qualified staff. Know yr rights to get a quality product that is advertised. Dont accept being cheated....
