4 dishes, 2 entrees $147. Majority of food was inedible. Rice tasted like some sort of muscle rub. We had half a bean in the Mongolian Lamb, Spring rolls tasted like left overs squashed together and stuffed in one. We specified no onion, but got onion. They did though, chuck in a FREE bag of prawn chips, instead of charging us $8 extra. Safe to say we have now tasted all Chinese food across town and it all tastes exactly the same! And whoever is paying for this, is getting absolutely ripped!

We love to try out the Chinese place when passing through a regional town, and picked out Kee Ho from the (surprisingly) multiple options in Cessnock. The prawn toast was pretty good, but the mains were mediocre. The sweet and sour pork came in popcorn chicken-sized bites - too small and batter-heavy. The lemon chicken was unconventionally crumbed like a schnitzel instead of battered - I wouldn't have minded if not for the fact that the lemon sauce was also quite weak and watered down.

🥠 Kee Ho is a local Chinese restaurant on Vincent St, offering fairly traditional country style Australian Chinese menu (lots of family favourites). 🥠 The venue is well lit, clean, tidy and inviting, although a little quaint. With on street parking. 🥠 Arrived, greeted by welcoming staff, order was promptly taken, and takeaway was ready in 15 minutes. 🥠 Portions were good, food tasty, and still hot when served on arrival home.

I rang & ordered a takeaway dinner for us tonight. I specifically requested no garlic in my meal as I have an allergy (& yes, garlic can be a genuine allergy). Reassured that the meal could be made garlic free. No problem at all. (I thought it a bit odd at the time that they never asked for a contact number when I rang, but really didn’t think much else of it) When I went to collect the order, I was bluntly told that the sauce in the meal I ordered did in fact have garlic in it. I could either get a refund or order something else. Pretty much tough luck. No “we’re really sorry about this”, no “ we’ll make sure staff are better trained”.. I ended up ordering another meal. When I noticed the girl putting the rest of the order back on the table, I requested it be kept hot until the other meal was cooked. Told it would’nt be necessary as it would only take 2 minutes to cook. It was going to be left out to get cold. She didn’t even think that was worth considering. Needless to say, the meal was the worst Chinese we’ve ever had. Everything was bland & dry. There was more vegetables than meat. I ordered a prawn meal, but I had to search for the prawns amongst the veggies. And I actually did something I”ve never had to do to Chinese food before. I had to add salt & soy sauce to everything !! Just to make it palatable. I suggested to the staff that they consider taking contact numbers for customers when ordering so these sort of issues wouldn’t happen. I could have been contacted & made another choice from home. This was pretty much met with “yeah”. Not that that would have made any difference in the long run. The food was abysmal, as was the service. I really wish I had checked more reviews before I ordered. Will never go there again & will certainly not be recommending them to...

Awful, I am left genuinely shocked at how this place is so highly rated. The lady managing the restaurant is incredibly rude. We requested a table for 2 and went to the table the waitress directed us to, only to be shooed away quite loudly by the manager. When we explained that we had been told to sit at that table she waved her hands and said of the waitress "she doesn't know what she's doing". We were then seated towards the end of the restaurant, with piles of stock next to our table. The food was oily and unpalatable, albeit quick to come out of the kitchen. The sweet and sour pork consisted mostly of undercooked batter and very little meat, whilst the spring rolls were like nothing I'd ever had - a creamy, chicken and leek filling, almost like you would have in a pie! The final straw was when we were eventually asked if we would like a drink and ordered some table water, only to be given glasses with lipstick marks around the rims. This is unhygienic at anytime, but under the current circumstances it is truly unacceptable. The poor waitresses looked miserable, and I can understand why. We left feeling robbed after paying. If you're looking for cheap quantity and not quality, then this is the place for you. Otherwise,...

I’m Disengaging From This Restaurant… Permanently.

I don’t even know where to begin, because frankly, I wish I had never begun.

The sweet and sour chicken. Or should I say: soggy, sad chicken drowned in a pink sauce that tasted like melted cherry Jell-O and regret. There was no trace of sourness. It was just… confusing. And not in a mysterious way.

Then came the honey chicken, which I can only describe as an insult to bees and chickens alike. It was cloying, sticky, and somehow still managed to taste like nothing. How do you make something aggressively sweet and still bland? It’s a talent—albeit one no kitchen should strive for.

The decor? Tired. The service? Indifferent. The prices? Ridiculous

I’ve had better meals at airport food courts during flight delays.

I will not...
