Mingara Recreation Club — Restaurant in New South Wales

Dined at Hadley's Restaurant recently. My son and I ordered the Milk Bun Burger and were very disappointed. The patties had been pre-cooked and re-heated. They were dry and tasted foul. Someone else at our table ordered the barramundi and it was pathetically small. I didn't taste it, so I cannot comment on that but the serving size was surprising, but not in a good way. On a brighter note, the chicken snitzels LOOKED large and appetising. One last comment, and this relates to many eating establishments, the lack of service is becoming all too common. I dislike having to provide my own service- walk up to a counter, order and pay, get issued a buzzer and then return to the counter to collect my meal when the buzzer starts it's irritating vibrating and beeping routine. If I need a drink, I have to get up and get that myself as well. If I decide to get dessert, that's another trip to the counter and another buzzer... Not a recipe for a relaxing meal experience. At least at Hadley's they delivered the meals to the table, which meant one less trip to the counter, hence the 2 star rating...

Hugest selection of pokies with less than 50% payback rates! Did $300 in 30 mins, not a single feature or win on blackjack. Typical trash central coast club.

Update: Returned like a fool thinking it might be different next time only to do $700 in an hour, not hitting a single feature the whole time (AGAIN), a small win on blackjack ($50) followed by a massive loss. Club sounds like a library with hardly any winning noises going on and really loud annoying music (prob to cover up the fact there's no winning whatsoever). Decided to walk around to investigate, indeed confirming my suspicions, nobody was winning anything except tiny, miniscule wins. IMO this place is beyond corrupt and should be investigated.

Ask yourself, how is it possible for a club to have the highest number of pokies in the state while ranking one of the lowest in profits per machine? Something is awry here, the locals must know something. Avoid like the plague, the worst establishment I've ever been to and that's saying a lot. These guys make the Central Coast Leagues Club and Gosford RSL look like saints. You've...

Dont play the pokies here...I know it's YOUR choice to gamble HOWEVER this venue is a no go...they do not display wins which to some extent would provide some incentive into gambling within this venue ..never ever see anybody collecting money from payout machines nor near me when playing.. hardly any features that generally pay well ...i have played $150 and received a feature that paid $2.50 (really) REGULARLY ...feel like it should be investigated as something is seriously wrong ??? Go elsewhere to smaller venues with less overheads other than Mingara that try and take it from the innocent gamblers to pay for their huge overheads... ...your choice !!!
