Let me tell you about an absolute staple of the central coast dining experience. Tandoori Dhaba has always just been a restaurant I've seen as I drive home, but today I decided to finally pay them a visit, and to say it was exquisite would be the understatement of the century. I got the chicken naan, fish tikka, goat curry and mango lassi, and every single aspect of the experience was pure perfection. Every dish packed with flavour, cooked to absolute perfection. You can tell the chefs really put their heart and soul into everything they cook. The service was incredible, I had the pleasure of chatting with Chris and Mr Singh and every interaction I had with them was kind and endearing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like nothing else I've seen on the Central Coast, the decor of the place is visually stunning, very regally decorated, feels very fancy indeed. The highlight of the meal though was most certainly the Punjabi goat curry. I've eaten a lot of curry in my life, and this was my first time ever trying goat, and I can confidently say that this was by far the best curry I've ever eaten in my life. If you are visiting here, or even getting takeaway, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't get the goat curry. Some of the most flavourful and tender curry I've ever had the pleasure of eating in my life. The fish tikka was also incredible, easily the best I've ever had too. I also highly reccomend the Kingfisher Lager, a very smooth and tasty Indian beer. My only gripe was that they happened to be out of stock of Masala Chai at the time, but I see this as an overall positive as it just gives me another reason to come back :) Service was fast and friendly, and the food preparation was perfectly paced, was never once waiting too long. I was also treated to some Punjabi music videos on the TV in front of me, and this was among the most entertaining and dramatic music videos I have ever witnessed in my life. The perfect compliment to a perfect culinary experience. Do yourself a favour and come dine in at Tandoori Dhaba as soon as you possibly can, I can guarantee to you right now you will not...
Read moreI've been to most if not all of the central coasts Indian restaurants and Tandoori Dhaba is by far the most authentic great tasting food of the lot. Staff are happy to accommodate large gatherings and always have a smile. They are more than happy to adjust the Scoville scale to suit your needs without sacrificing any flavour. The lamb madras and fluffy cloud like naan breads are to die for. In fact I've had if not all the items on the menu at one point or another and still stand by the fact it is the most authentic Indian flavours on the coast. If you're new to Indian cuisine and always a bit scared of spicy. They will make a mild vindaloo which still has all the flavours but less heat......enjoy fellow...
Read moreOrdered through menulog, food arrived I had ordered chicken Korma and the chicken was raw!! The whole meal was inedible including my husbands Rogan Josh. I complained through menulog and they reached out to the restaurant who refused to give a refund!! Even though I had photos of the chicken, they where apparently very rude to the menulog staff member who said she was actually shocked at the way the manager had spoken to her on the phone! What makes it worse is that I ate a bit of the chicken before realising, and I am pregnant, so now I am worried sick I will get food poisoning! Terrible customer service and terrible food do...
