Noodle Hut Thai Restaurant is one of those local gems that instantly makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The warmth and friendliness of the owner truly set this place apart — they greet every guest with genuine kindness, always going the extra mile to ensure everyone leaves happy and satisfied. Whether it’s accommodating a last-minute request, adjusting spice levels, or recommending the perfect drink to match your meal, their flexibility and care make every visit feel personal.

The food itself is nothing short of authentic, bringing out the true flavours of Thailand with every bite. The spring rolls are crisp and golden, bursting with fresh vegetables and served with a perfectly balanced sweet chilli sauce. The satay chicken skewers are tender and rich in peanut flavour, grilled just right and beautifully fragrant. The salt and pepper squid is a standout — lightly battered, perfectly seasoned, and irresistibly crunchy.

For mains, the Pad Thai captures that signature harmony of sweet, tangy, and savoury — a classic done exceptionally well. The Pad See Ew has that smoky wok-tossed depth, with tender noodles and fresh vegetables. The chicken fried rice is another favourite — simple yet full of comforting flavour. To top it all off, their drinks are delightful: the Thai milk tea is creamy and refreshing, while the rose drink adds a unique floral sweetness that pairs beautifully with the meal.

Overall, Noodle Hut Thai is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience shaped by genuine hospitality and authentic, flavourful food. It’s a place where you can taste the heart of Thailand and feel like part of the family every...

If I could give 0 stars I would... My son booked it for Mother's Day lunch. We were 3 adults and one child. Sat down at 12:00 and the place was probably at 50% capacity. We ordered 1 curry puffs, 1 spring rolls, 3 noodle dishes and a kids satay sticks. The puffs and rolls came after about 10 minutes and we're ok... sadly after that was down hill, and not just for us it seems... we watched a couple of tables get up, pay for their drinks and leave... we decided to stick it out as there were even less people in there now... big mistake, because at 1:40 we were still waiting for our mains... This is a noodle bar remember... Eventually 2 of the mains arrived... but not mine or the kids meal... we asked after 5 minutes where they were..? Mine came next and was stone cold... I sent it back and again asked for the kids meal... Mine came back, but was the same plate of food that had been microwaved, so hot in the middle and still cold on the outside... Eventually the kids meal arrived and was probably the best of the food... I recommend you avoid this place at all costs... awful food, extremely slow and bad service, and they still tried to sting us...

We have been twice for dinner, both times quite busy and the service is friendly and efficient. A variety of dishes on the menu to suit most tastes, the mains served with the addition of rice or as a noodle dish. A selection of wines or beers was available. We ordered a variety of dishes to share on our visits and can recommend the Sambal Chicken Stir Fry, Nasi Goreng and Deep Fried Ice Cream. The Mongolian Lamb was also tasty but let down by a large piece of fatty gristle which should have gone straight in the bin and nowhere near one of the more expensive dishes on the menu. The Wagyu Sichuan was bland, lacking any flavour. The servings are on the small side and not too hot (temperature) when they arrived. A...

Chicken Laksa... flavour was nice with a bit of chilli, but it was a bit oily, had no vegetables other than bean sprouts and a small amount of very thinly sliced chicken. IMO a 7/10 and there are better laksa on the coast eg. Wandee (Umina) and Bow Thai (Davistown) Chicken & cashew with Hokkien noodle was nice flavour but it was very scarce on the chicken and cashews. We've had better at many other Thai places on the coast. Service was Ok, but not attentive. Had to signal them after 10 mins to take our order and had to ask for table water. They were not your normal friendly Thai people.

***Update: 2nd time here and it's all good but... The food lacks a little flavouring. Both hubby and I agreed flavours were a little too subtle ;-) Good to have a quick noodle place in Tuggerah! First visit here and all went well. Service was speedy and friendly, menu very similar to the Sydney noodle places I'm used to and food good. Prices as expected for a noodle place. Had the chicken with flat noodles and cashew nut sauce and it didn't disappoint (only negative were the large chunks of chicken!). Nice to have another option for casual dining here 😁
