This is my 500th review with food the whole experience has to be happy exciting innovative and outstanding value for money Northern Rivers seafood caught my eye as the co op was not open so around the block l went and pulled up out front... Saturday morning a week ago 19 Oct...... This fresh seafood establishment rocks and it rocks hard... I was astounded blown away impressed beyond belief the setup the variety the freshest seafood everything was amazing I have been around Australia with my dog with 100 thousand klms of fish shops and co ops and this gem of a place for its size is by far the very best both in practice and produce l have ever seen. The staff handle the seafood with latex gloves and skill add care So no stressing who has touched the beautiful food beforehand. Excellent customer service brilliant product knowledge fish so fresh they could be flapping around variety is incredible every seafood is here from oysters to the most exotics it's all here at incredible value for money. I was really impressed even prawns the different varieties both cooked and fresh caught... Absolutely everything even small tubs of Yellowfin Tuna for sushi only six bucks l got heaps of food for 65 dollars thought it would be around 90 plus.... Then there is a small section that cooks to your liking anything in the shop or daily specials with a drink family pack etc Wow never been here before but l not only highly recommend this business but want you to visit support and appreciate world class seafood right now in Ballina This business is fully worthy of my 500th review...

There's a fantastic array of fresh fish and seafood of all descriptions and also frozen ones, but my rating is for the cooked section. Once again, there's a large selection of freshly caught fish to choose from that can be cooked for you along with the standard fish and chip shop fare. The calamari is coated in a very thick crispy coating, and if it hadn't been overcooked, the calamari would've been delicious, but it was rubbery and chewy. The chips were also super crispy because they too were overcooked. I'd chosen a piece of fresh jewfish, and it was battered. Super thin crispy batter mostly, but the thicker parts were a bit gluggy, but worse than that, it'd been overcooked and the fish was dry and chewy. The worst service I have ever encountered.

Young male worker throwing plastic tubs around, making unnecessary noise as though he didn’t want to be there.

Cleaning up ice, and making sure everyone in the place was uncomfortable.

Throwing plastic tubs around on the ground is totally unnecessary.

It appeared as though he just didn’t want to work without everyone knowing he hated the place.

After I mentioned the noise, a female work said just the normal.

Well if that’s normal, I will no longer recommend this place of business.

I have enjoyed your fresh quality seafood for many years, and always tell my clients to visit.
