South China Restaurant — Restaurant in New South Wales

This is the worst take Chinese takeaway place anywhere in Albury wodonga they charged me 14 dollars for a 2 km delivery I ordered combination soup and got a broth with a piece of carrot and a piece of cauliflower the combination omlet I ordered had bbq pork that was full of fat and grisel, and flavourless. I have to say the combination rice was average at best but not awful. The online menu shows pricing that is atleast 2 dollars cheaper than I was charged. When contacting the restaurant to find out why I paid so much and why the food was so bad I was told “ I’m doing my best here” and he was fully aware of the price discrepancy. There are many other Chinese restaurants in the area please try one of them if not you will be very disappointed as I was it was a complete waste of money I will never even on pain of death buy anything from this...

I placed an order at 930pm. It came to 1030pm when I made a call to the restaurant asking if they were still open as, it showed online that they were closed. After being (quiet literally) screamed at by a lady at the restaurant for 10mins, with her telling me something about the driver not coming, but not calling us to let us know our food was ready. I told her I was wanting to cancel my order, for her to only scream at me again. I told her about 4 times that there is absolutely no reason for her to be rude and yell at me over the phone, by the end I told her I needed to hang up as I had, had enough.

Out of pocket $32 and a restaurant has wasted food, for lack of responsibility on menulog and the restaurant.

Horrible experience, highly doubt I'll give them another try if that's how they believe customer...

The food is the best part. Above-average for a Chinese restaurant but the quality is great. They service a fortune cookie for dine-in customers which is a good treat. Soups are of a decent portion, took me a while to finish but the sweet chicken and corn soup was a tiny bit saltier than what it has to be. Spring rolls were good as well and the prawns were served in a sizzling plate. Overall, the food is good, the service can somehow improve. I had to tell the kind waitress twice I wanted to have the drink with the food not prior to that, and she ended up bringing me the wrong drink. The atmosphere felt a bit off, I could hear the people in the kitchen, and it was a bit too dark. Maybe some lights and stylish music would help. People don't only come...
