Seems to be a bit of a trend this is the second time recieving less than good service I ordered chicken ABC was cooked and was delicious however my wife's meal grilled flathead fillets chips and salad , was warm when delivered to the table but to there credit I complained about the food and gave me a full refund of the purchase of the fish meal At least the 🍺 Beer is cold, the wife and I went for Sunday dinner orded Entrée and Main course Entrée - Garlic herb bread 🍞 with melted cheese was hot and delicious 2 slices per person could have been one more Main - Grilled fish with chips and salad, the actual man part of the dish was two tiny grilled fillets of fish not even kids sized serve and Was barely warm (Possible breach of food standard's in Australia) chips were hot thankfully and reasonable sized salad. Wife didn't eat second piece of fish as had gone cold,Was served while we were still eating the Entree must have been in a hurry to get us out or something

Revisited after neg receiw 8 months ago Read on. Went there because it said they did on website. Sat in the car and called hotel and was told "Only Motel guests can get Breakfast" Was one of many ALH hotels visited on a trip from Queensland. All the others were Great. 8months on, actually stayed at Boomerang. Great room at a value rate and the meals, well let me tell you. Fantastic. Lunch was possibly best Parmi I have ever had. Mexican twist was sensational. Dinner Chilli prawn spaghetti. Looked exactly like the picture on the menu and it was served hot. Pity they were short on the chillibbut still Tasted great. On booking in the receptionist made light of my booking skills and found my reservation for a room even tho I somehow named myself Qld, Qld. Hmmmm Overall a great experience and I loved the banter coming out of the kitchen from a busy happy team. lemon pie and coffee topped of a very pleasant evening And they do breakfast

Firstly I have to say the food was delicious. It honestly was Yun. Everyone at our table of 9 was happy with their food, so well done!

Secondly the staff was great. All were friendly, and when talked to about the below issue with cigarette smoke and seating were very apologetic and kind.

The actual environment is the reason for 2 stars. When we arrived the smell of cigarette smoke was so strong we contemplated walking back out. But then we noticed a back room so hoped we could eat in there away from the smoke. Unfortunately it was booked so we couldn't. So we found a table as far away from the gambling room that we could. Staff also locked the automatic opener so the room stopped opening randomly. But the smell continued and as we were finishing our meals, it got very intense again. It was SUCH a shame because the food was amazing.

The children's play area is not very well thought out at all. Although there's play equipment there's also gaming machines (racing etc) so full grown, half intoxicated men are playing side by side strangers kids in a dimly lit small room? Not really a comfortable situation for most parents. Not only that but the kids came out of the room with black hands. The room and everything in it was filthy. Def not cleaned recently... Which is a bit weird considering were in Covid times.

I feel for the staff here because the staff and food make this place but we wouldn't return with the issues listed above. And it's completely not the staffs fault either (besides maybe the cleaning part). There should not be an access point to the dining area from the gambling area that freely allows smoking. Were not talking about cigarette smoke being stuck to people and therefore smelling it, we mean full blown clouds of cigarette smoke. A better designed fully lit children's area, only for children would...

Not as good as it was previously. I have stayed in this hotel 3 times previously and have always found it basic but pleasant with friendly staff & value for money meals However this last stay it was not as it once was. I arrived to find my room door wide open which made me wonder why it was being aired out? There was no toaster microwave nor plates & cutlery in my room which is pretty much standard? This room had a bath but it was stained & dirty, i couldnt use it even if i wanted a bath? And the hot water had a mind of its own? After a 2hour drive & 8hour work day I had shower & went to the Bistro. The Bar person Told me that I could'nt charge my meal to my room as I had the wrong colour room Key? I explained my company had arranged it. Then I was told I'd exceeded my $30 meal allowance with a $29 meal? The Bar person insisted there was a $2 charge for Sauce even though it wasn't mentioned on the menu. I wasn't too worried about a dollar so I agreed to pay for it with a drink, surprise they were out of the beer i wanted??? As I leave for work prior to the hotels breakfast time I was given a 'brekky pack' cereal, musili bar,OJ & milk But with no bowel & spoon to eat it with? I asked for one at the bar BUT I was told I didn't need a bowel & spoon because I could eat out of the square plastic box it came in with the wooden teaspoon provided ??? quite a challenge i would think??? Thankfully the kitchen staff were a bit kinder & gave me a bowel & proper spoon. Note: the sauce fee was refunded & the bar persons attitude impoved somewhat after. The meal arrived & although quiet good was small compared to previous ones Next morning I discovered the Toilet has leaked overnight leaving a big puddle of water on the floor? I'm not sure if there has been a change of management or policies but this stay was not...

Definitely a hidden gem here. While travelling, we tended to stick to motels over hotels, but we are super glad we didn’t stick to that here in Lavington/Albury. The young lady I spoke to over the phone, then in person, was amazing! She was super helpful (especially to aid my very broken mother), and I honestly felt like I was chatting with a bestie. Super personable. She helped me ensure we had a very accessible room with directly outside the door parking. The rooms were very clean and tidy…very. Comfy beds. Nice artwork. Affordable room prices. We found out after-the-fact that a friend of ours had stayed there multiple times and planned to again whenever she was in Albury for work. Our entire trip consisted of 7 motels/hotel and this one was the best. Who needs a microwave and toaster when the coffee station (with cute kettle) is so fully stocked with good brands, and they supply free breakfast and affordable lunch and dinner that can be delivered to your room. Yet since I had said we’d be gone before the big continental breakfast in the bistro was served (we left before dawn), we were each given a “breakfast box”. Cereal, breakfast bar, milk, juice, spoon. Cute and a lovely extra that was brought over to our room. Would very happily...
