3A Cafe — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

The food had mediocre presentation but tasted decent, bacon cooked nicely. It seems as though the name and owners are new, being that there is minimal reviews. It seems as though this business may be a roll of the dice for the owners, and I wish them well but if it is to last, food presentation needs a once over and they need to try a few different chai lattes in a decent coffee shops to see how they are done. I haven't drank the coffee yet, I'll save that for another day. The chai latte I had was frankly sickly and undrinkable. I didn't have the heart to complain to the lovely girls there, as they are doing a good job with their customer service. Went in to have brunch as a family, people not very warm or welcoming. Because they also offer takeaway, there was a huge queue waiting outside. We decided to dine in and so had to wait a very long time as their priority was to serve takeaway. We waited for a very long time before our order arrived, it was so late that the people who came to dine in after us got their order before us and we were on the edge of cancelling our order. Their menu doesn’t offer any kids options and there was no one free to ask if there’s something they can do for the kids.

Staff lovely but food very ordinary. We had 3 different breakfasts eggs Benny with eggs not fully cooked, other was poached eggs with avo smash and the eggs were hard boiled and the avo was literally just spread on a piece of ordinary bread with some little tomato’s cut in half on some of the bread with a pinch of feta ... something my young son could have done.
