Club Maitland City — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Pros- This club presents really well. Upon entrance you really feel like you're walking into a quality venue. The interior also looks great, it's modern and fresh and delivers a lot of promise.

The kids play room is great for a club like this. Double layer play pad, you're kids wont get bored as there are always a bunch of kids bouncing around in there.

Cons- The food is terrible. I've had snitzel parma and a thai beef salad and bother dishes were tasteless and a struggle to get through. Both times I've been here I've been with a large group and no one were happy with their meals.

I don't want to bag the staff out completely. There were people there that were friendly and professional, but there were enough staff with negative attitudes that it was noticeable and took away from the experience.

Rutherford isn't a great location and I don't mean to be judgmental, but when some parents are chastising kids that aren't their own in an aggressive manner, it makes you not want to come back.

Overall- This club offers a lot of potential, but doing up the interior isn't going to fix the problems. I recommend hiring a new chef that is dedicated to providing quality over a safe profit. I also recommend hiring a security guard to deter the riff raff.

Won't recommend to a friend. Won't go back...

We go to this club ALOT for meals. We love the staff that take our order. Cannot fault them. We live in the area and love to patronize our local Our wrong can they get it. Its like throw the dice whether you get a nice hot meal or not. Whenever my family visits we take them to the club. Over the past 11 years nothings changed. I don't earn alot of money but where we eat I would like my hard earned money to at least take our meals into consideration. We have had lunch there where management have lunch but I bet their meals are perfect. The club was awesome we ended up becoming a member. The service staff was amazing Unfortunately my pizza gluten-free came out raw. I advised the wait staff they told me they would have a fresh one done up and sent out to me as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it was the same raw pizza dough as I've waited 50 minutes for my pizza to be cooked properly and still didn't get to eat it id noticed that it was late and the chefs were already walking out of the building as a chef myself I understand that once all the equipment is turned off it's not easy to cook or fix up a meal so I just left it. Knowing the type of pizza base type most likely it was frozen not defroster properly therefore it was raw and cold in the middle.
