Crema Coffee Garage — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

I posted the review below a few weeks back. The people at Crema Coffee Garage were straight onto me and keen to remedy my concerns. At first I thought it was just lip service but I was very wrong. They showed an unwavering dedication to helping me and the level of customer service went way beyond any expectation. They truthfully do stand behind the machines they sell. On this basis I have changed my review to five stars, if there were more they deserve them. Thank you so much Crema Coffee Garage, you are unparalleled.

My inital review: I really like several of the coffee roasts provided and over time I have found I stick with them exclusively. When my home machine needed replacing after 22 years I had come to trust Crema Garage so bought an ECM Electronika from them. After two years with this thing I have gone from moderately unhappy to just hate it. My grandson bought a machine at Harvey Norman for a third the price and it is better in my opinion, it works every day for a start. It started off in the first week with condesation in the temp guage and now decides when it wants a day off. Crema Garage takes so long to look at it I go elsewhere. If you want one coffee this machine may be OK. If you want two coffees and don't mind a few minutes wait then this machine might be OK. The system is pour two shots then wait a few minutes for the temp to come back up to froth the milk. If you like piping hot espressos then I would suggest you keep looking. My wife wanted to purchase me a stove top coffee machine so I would stop using non recycable pods. An Internet search led us to Crema Coffee Garage where we found the Bellman Coffee Machine. We were able to talk to a very helpful Crema staff who was honest about the pro's and con's of this machine over an electric coffee machine. My son ordered the Bellman on Tuesday and today my Bellman Coffee machine was delivered to me in Victoria. Delivery was only 3 days and has arrived in time for Father's Day. I am really happy with my Bellman, resulting in better tasting coffee than coffee from the pods and I experienced fantastic customer service from staff at Crema. The whole shopping experience from Crema was stress free and information provided was from staff who knew their products.

A month earlier I encountered a very different and exasperating experience from BON Trading an agent for the ATOMIC coffee machines who are based in Sydney. The absolute lack of customer service BON Trading displayed actually led us to finding Crema and to our purchase of the Bellman Coffee machine.

I am one happy customer of Crema Garage Coffee. I live in Melbourne and in the middle of lock down. I am not able to go to shops to see, feel and touch objects before purchase so having reliable information provided has been comforting. Thank you Crema! Regards Roger -...

Overall a pleasing experience! First time coming in this morning. Speed was very quick, which is an incredibly underrated element in coffee service. Something I am willing to go out of my way for. The coffees were lovely. I first had an espresso: I believe the El Sal natural(?), followed by the Huila Colombia pour-over, that were both very sweet, round and with an excellent mouth feel. I would have liked some more pronounced acidity in the roast (if I was being particular) for both the filter and espresso, but I understand that's not necessarily to everyone's palette. Friendly staff too! Direct and confident. If I had one comment to make, it would be that as I was new / a little uncertain of where things were located, how things were laid out/what the protocol was regarding ordering my drinks, there were a few assumptions of knowledge being made one barista servicing me which lead to a few almost combative answers that I wasn't entirely impressed by.
