3 strikes and you are out. Always want to support Newy locals, especially the breweries, but after 3 chances this pub is just disappointing. Despite having a great modern venue, their beers and service (the heart) are just poor compared to the others in Newy.
Specifics⦠owners sitting eating while you wait for them to serve you a beer. 8 people in the place on peak night. Rather than doing a few beers well they do ā20ā beers poorly. And Iām not sure those brew pipes are cleaned to standard, as to keep up that many beers but be so quiet⦠ummmm.
Its even worse when you read the other poor reviews only to see the owner show arrogance. Itās the same experience when there, and surprising when business owners forget that service is everything.
So many other great options in Newy (Iām local) so dont waste your $ here.
** Update - since posting my review, the owners changed their feedback post on ALL bad reviews, in order to save face. Just check the time stamp, as they are all at the same time, well after the poor review was done. Note to owners⦠stop thinking marketing will help, and just improve your service and product. And some humility is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been to a lot of breweries, but Thirsty Messiah Brewery in Broadmeadow stands out as an exceptional gem. From the moment you step in, the warm and inviting atmosphere wraps you in a sense of community and comfort. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, offering fantastic recommendations tailored to your taste.
The beer selection is phenomenal, with a range of unique and expertly brewed beers that cater to all palates. Whether you're a fan of hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or refreshing lagers, there's something here for everyone. I was particularly impressed with their seasonal specials, which showcase their creativity and commitment to quality.
Pairing the beers with their delicious food menu is a must. Every dish is crafted with care, complementing the flavors of their brews perfectly. The live music and events they host add an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience, making every visit memorable.
Thirsty Messiah Brewery is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a place to make memories with friends and discover new favorites. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came here because people said it had great steaks. We arrived and were initially confused about what to do. Go to the counter? Take a table? Staff looked at us but walked past. Eventually we figured out we go to the counter, take a menu, find a chair, then go back to the counter to order. That's perhaps not so unusual, but the initial atmosphere was a little unwelcoming and unfriendly. No smiles, no hello.
There was no music, either live or recorded; you simply sit in a large room with lots of noisy individual conversations going on.
The steak I had was good; the recommendation was right on that point.
I'm not a drinker, so didn't sample their range of beers but I am sure they are delightful.
However, besides a good steak it wasn't overwhelmingly an enjoyable place to be. I'm not sure why the owner tells me they have a "great vibe"; it was really simply a large hall where people bring their own vibe. The venue didn't have anything going on, and the staff were not friendly or welcoming at all. You're left to your own devices pretty much, and apart from ordering and having a plate put at your table they don't...
