Far beyond what we expected, we strolled on in this fantastic little gem as we drove past maybe a month ago and noticed it from the main road, it stands out so we looked it up then decided we must come back for our next date night. We are 45min drive away from here and didn't think we to reserve tables. From the outside looking in, it was full customers to seated, some waiting some looking at the delicious food and you can see staff working hard and their allocated sections or work. We were sold we wanted to taste what this place is about, I mean...look at this atmosphere. Who wouldnt! We browsed and picked stuff we have never seen or let alone know what it's called so the nice man we spoke to was so so patient with us as he recommended his favourite and ran through what they had. He said it will be about 30min wait, with us being already drawn to the atmosphere and being greeted with so much patience we stayed and waited. After ordering we were told the pumkpin one had now been sold and we asked for him to surprise us. The food was amazing, the pasta tasted fresh as if it were made as we ordered it, the sauce was beyond expectation bursting into rich flavour. The pizza was absolutely to die for, the perfect amount of crisp crust, again the dough tasted as if it was made to order it was so fresh and so was the ingredients that topped it. We would happily drive here again. We end up having a car picnic and hubby wanted to come back and get another pizza! We have found a new favourite place to go to. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sharing your talents...

In an age where many prioritise aesthetics over everything else, this small, family run and true to its roots Italian restaurant has set the bar for this type of cuisine outside of the Mediterranean.
Itās easy to make assumptions about an Italian restaurant in Newcastle. However, the food is truly an excellent tribute to the absolute best that Italian food has to offer. From genuine and caring staff, most notably the caring and personable Nonnas, to the impeccable food, my partner and I were left speechless, bite after bite.
The Tortellini and Romana Pastas were faultless. Well balanced, fresh and flavourful. If youāre looking for an entree, the garlic and cheese bread, puts anything else to shame.
Itās honestly astounding that a place such as this, is not being shouted about across town. As someone who has spent a great deal of time in abroad, this would have restaurants in Italy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a double hatted chef from Melbourne. I had dinner tonight and was blown away. I love little restaurants, they feel so homey. I had the ravioli and my date had the veal, they were both outstanding.
Although when we walked through the door it looked like a takeaway with an extreamly small resturant side, the service was perfect.
The food was very quick to our table which is always a bad sign but the flavor was amazing. I spoke to who i presume is an owner upon paying my bill and found out that that they are traditional recipients made by his mother. The only recommendation I can make is order the small size.... the large is HUGE and i couldnt even come close to finishing it, however they did allow my to take it home at no charge.
For 2 large pastas and a garlic bread it was under $50????? Outstanding value for money.
We will be back.
Beautiful little restaurant and terrific service. Great job...
