Jamaica Blue Kotara — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Incredibly overpriced and the food was beyond bad. I ordered their chicken & mushroom crepe for $18.90, expecting a delectable thick crepe filled with a creamy feast. The menu said it came with a green salad, ok great, but at the register, I was asked if I want to add avocado... and I did, the classic upsell! Add a sparkling water... do you want a glass of ice... and then all of a sudden my total bill went to almost $30. Are you charging me for ice??? Ok, not happy, but this lunch better be awesome! ...Then the meal came... 2 TINY crepes (imagine the size of cheap woollies sausage) DRY tasteless filling, no sauce to moisten it, the green salad was JUST a few rocket leaves and the very expensive additional avocado had black spot all through it. I ate most of it because I was starving, and the best flavour on the plate was the dressing on the leaves (most likely store bought). I really wish I took a photo to prove all this.. but honestly I'd seriously avoid this place if your want value for...

I have been a Jamaica Blue customer four days per week with friends for many years, two at Westfield Plaza and two at Jesmond Shopping Centre. I always order the same coffee. A large, flat white, very hot and with no froth. At Jesmond this is always served to perfection but at Westfield only one lass (Belinda) ever seems to be capable of managing to meet my needs. Last Friday at Westfield I was serve a large, flat white with one inch of froth on top of it and only luke warm despite always advising of the service I would appreciate. Surely if Jesmond and the one lass at Wesfield can manage my order, the others might also do the same. It is so disappointing to receive a froth,y luke warm coffee. Most Fridays are the same....a disappointing cold frothy flat white. Please...

I have had a daily coffee at this Business for more than 10 years. The service under previous managers namely Mary, Nathan and Trenton were excellent. But now with current manager it is BAD. I saw a Staff member do something to another staff member and was disgusted. I spoke about this incident with the current manager (Belinda), who replied "My staff would never do such a thing" I then emailed Jamaica Blue office about this incident, who did not have the DECENTCY or the COURTESEY to reply to my email. I now go to another place in the centre for my coffee, where the COFFEE is better, the SERVICE is better, and the PRICE is better. I would not go to another...
