This isn't intended to be an attach on the business. Its a comment on their online ordering system. I need to make that clear.
A few weeks ago, myself and my partner thought we would order from Zeus Street Greek at Westfield Kotara. I had some work that had to be done and my partner had to go for a relatively long drive to pick up her son. So the Plan was to order through their online system and schedule the pick up time to be about 8:45pm so by the time I would arrive at my partners home, she would of returned and I would be there with dinner.
The food was not warm. I absolutely am under the impression that they received the order around 6:40pm, proceeded to prepare the order and then let it on a shelf under the counter for almost 2 hours without acknowledging the specified pickup time.
Note: This isn't just a Zeus Street Greek problem, in my experience this is a problem for many, many food services. But I do think this needs to be addressed not as a training through staff but as the system itself being examined. I am someone who has designed and built solutions for online ordering systems and such a large part of the design is making key points such as specified pick up time unmistakably obvious sometimes that is solved by making the pickup time a completely out of place color and font or it could be adjusting a step earlier in the system where the order isn't presented to the team responsible for filing the order until perhaps 15mins before the specified pickup time.
The other thing, which I'm sure it was just that the team were perhaps exhausted and just want to pack up and head home. But I was handed the bag, "Hope you have a wonderful night" and had assumed everything was in the bag. The ordered drink was not.
It's not the end of the world, the food still tasted great. But yeah definitely didn't get the whole service that I...
Read moreEdit: Went back today 12/10/22 and it was good to see that Zeus was almost back to its old self. Proper hand soap at the stations and the Stavros wrap was cooked really well. I love a company that listens to feedback and thus I'm changing my review from 3 to 5 stars. __- I gave Zeus the benefit of the doubt after a bad experience last month and went on my own for lunch today. My Stavros Stravrou arrived cold with the halloumi barely cooked. My chips arrived 10 minutes after my meal. As this was a meal for one, you'd expect both to be delivered at the same time and the main food cooked properly or even warm.
They also have no hand soap for the hand wash station. I mentioned this several months ago and the employees said they had just run out and would get some more. I've been twice since and they still haven't replaced the hand soap. Hand sanitiser and water is not a replacement for soap at a hand washing station. 3 months without replacement is another sign that the attention to detail is being missed.
Really disappointed as when Zeus first opened it was one of my favourite eateries, the quality and service has just dropped off...
Read moreI think you need to bring in QR code order at your table yourself or something. Whilst the food was really yummy the service was terrible. Felt like I was being an inconvenience by going to the register. Staff uninterested to serve and it was like a waiting game to who was going to serve. I ordered, my friend ordered and soon after the 3 other tables in the place ordered. Everyone’s food came out except mine so I went and mentioned it, again felt like it was an inconvenience to be asking. After repeating what I ordered twice it was realised the order didn’t get sent through after paying. I then got 1/2 of my share plates. Given other people arrived and order I thought it still might be coming. My friend and I finished what we got and the 2nd plate still didn’t come. So on the way out I went to tell them. It was then another staff stand off to who was going to come to the register. One girl made a point of saying she “just put new gloves on” even though she wasn’t doing anything. Told her I didn’t get my second plate and she said “what do you want me to do” then got the manager. Turns out (I should have realized yes) but that second plate was never...
