Sip Coffee Newman — Restaurant in Newman

Was visiting Newman for a night for work and I always love to try local meat pies.

At 7am yesterday, I ordered 2 meat pies and a medium long black, one was chunky steak and one was mushroom. I don’t understand why the chunky steak was all dry inside, and guess what’s worst? It’s sour!!!! I chucked it into the bin even before my long black was ready.

I don’t blame the shopkeepers not being smiley because of the busy hour in the morning. $5 for a coffee machine long black, plus a taste of plastic in the coffee!! I had to discard it after drinking one-third of it.

The mushroom pie tastes normal but only 3-5 pieces of mushroom in there.

Not trying to be picky but I do doubt the food...

We stopped in here for some baked goods for our breakfast. The breakfast wrap was so tasty. We also bought a donut each, a muffin and a chocolate croissant. The donuts tasted like they had been left uncovered in the kitchen and had soaked up the savoury flavours of the kitchen. While the donuts were fresh (which can be surprisingly hard to find) they left a flame grilled after taste. Best coffee in Newman even tho I'm usually not a fan of yahava beans.... This coffee never tastes bitter and over extracted. Staff could be a little more friendly and make sure they offer the loyalty card to regular customers (who may not see it). Lovely pastries and pies on display.... Toasted treats, croissants and danish's. Opens early which suits my team......
