Emilio's Cafe Berrimah — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I have started working nearby and was excited to experience this place given the reviews. It is within 50m of my work and I was hopeful it would be good. But so far, I have been disappointed in the whole establishment and have been there around 10 times now in 4 weeks. Coffee is ok at times, it really depends on who makes the coffee. The pasta is nothing special at all and seems to be pre-packaged pasta with very poor quality sauces mixed in. I can genuinely make pasta so much better than this at home and given the owner is Italian it was a big let down. This pasta would not pass and the quality has dropped significantly from when he ran Pizza Pasta Pasta Pizza in the CBD. I truly hope he finds his roots again and gets back to traditional style italian. No carbonara should ever have cream in it. I wont be going back anytime soon. Stopped in for coffee today (medium cappuccino) - the coffee is amazing! Drooled over the food choices - I will definitely be coming back here again for lunch very soon! The smell in the shop made me hungry, they were preparing something yummy out the back!
