I had a disappointing experience during our Mother's Day brunch. I ordered a banana bread for my daughter, and after she ate about 3/4 of it, she went to do some colouring. The remaining piece was meant for her little brother. Unfortunately, without asking, a waitress cleared the plate and threw away the last piece. I chased after her to explain that we hadn’t finished, but she had already discarded it and simply said, “Sorry, is that the one with a small piece?” and “Sorry about that.”
Taking unfinished dishes without asking makes what should be a relaxing dining experience feel stressful and alerting. We found ourselves constantly keeping an eye on our plates anytime a waiter or waitress approached, just to make sure nothing was taken away too soon. It’s basic courtesy to always ask customers if they’re done with a dish—regardless of how much is left. Assuming it’s finished just because there’s a small amount left is not acceptable. This careless action completely ruined the mood of what was supposed to be a special meal. Very...
Read moreSame here. Don't see what the hype is about. We got the granola bowl with an iced coffee and the sriracha chicken burger with a match green tea latte. They were both okay. But the drinks were quite disappointing for some where that advertises themselves as having specialty coffee. Also was quite hot in the shop and there are no power outlets. Most likely will not be back.
Have a new menu, tried the turkish eggs. So much chili oil on them! I love a drizzle over but these were doused and so so so spicy. Which is totally fine to have on the menu, but really needs to be clarified that it's an incredibly spicy dish. Would not have ordered it had that been made clear. First bites with just a little oil on them were amazing, but the rest of the dish wasn't enjoyable. They did help and bring more yoghurt but...
Read more8 staff members were just lingering behind the espresso machine despite multiple eye contacts made. My espresso felt like the coffee extraction ran for 1 hour. And of course completely overpriced. Bacon (half of them was burnt) and egg with (a tiny portion of) mushroom and haloumi will set you back for $30+ (food only), of which you could afford a big brekkie AND better coffee at the coffee club franchise. And yes I’m speaking as a person with industry knowledge.
Darwin people should reconsider where to spend their money for better value. Don’t just blindly follow the hype. And the shop owner should reconsider how to spend the money on staff as well. Apprently you spend not a small amount of money for their wage in return of this run...
